i think it would be extremely difficult for us to even perceive them, and the other way around. i think if we ever do discover alien life, it will be like nothing we can ever imagine.

| Re: do you beleave in aliens I remember watching a documentary about parrallel universes once and the narrator was going on about multiple dimensions inhabiting the same space and how there could be dinosaurs running through your living room that you cant see. That shit tripped me the hell out.

I don't neccesarily believe that little green men come to earth and rape people. But it would be ignorant to think we are the only intelligent life forms in a universe which is bigger than we can comprehend.

And possible is very different than probably. It's certainly possible. Anything's possible. The Flying Spaghetti Monster's possible. Unicorns are possible. Something worthwhile coming from television's possible. But is it probable? Should we expect to see such a thing? Does it make sense to hypothesize that it has in actuality happened? I don't think that it is probable. I could be wrong, but I calls em as I sees em, and it just doesn't strike me as probable given all the evidence I've seen. If the universe is random, then who knows what is living on the other planets. I want to believe that they are little grays with big eyes, but shit, that's all imaginative. I will never try to really wrap my head around what an 'alien' is.

nope. not until i see one in front of me. seeing strange crafts is one thing. but seeing a being from another planet/galaxy is different. i think the story of aliens is used as a cover for secret operations. and unexplainable crafts i think are people jumping to conclusions and assuming that man could not have made the craft they see in front of them. For all i know, it very well could be a different race but like i said, until i have physical proof in front of me, im skeptical.

I believe that aliens not only existed, but visited us thousands, if not millions of years ago. They were the gods to our ancient people, and they helped give information and tools to build such amazing feats such as the Pyramids, The Myas, Stonehedge. The pyramids of giza were built in 23 years, supposedly, if that was true then there would have needed to be a stone cut, moved, and placed every 9 seconds to be able to complete it. Very unlikely. [quote=ShareTheGanja;5947340]I believe that aliens not only existed, but visited us thousands, if not millions of years ago. They were the gods to our ancient people, and they helped give information and tools to build such amazing feats such as the Pyramids, The Myas, Stonehedge. Quote:
Even if that were the number cited by sources like Manetho, I'd still want to rule out possible sources of error in the records themselves - transcription error, elementary math error, or just plain historical bullshitting as some ancient records have been known to do - before concluding that aliens came down in giant saucers for the purposes of building monumental architecture (but also curiously leaving no other trace of their existence in either recorded history or in the archaeological record). One reason I'm skeptical of the alien-pyramid-building hypothesis is that ancient Egyptian history shows a long, gradual tradition of the development of the idea of a pyramid, and it included a number of false-starts which you don't commonly hear about (see: the bent pyramid). They started out as small mastabas, which grew into big mastabas, which a creative architect stacked one on top of the other to build a rudimentary step-pyramid, which eventually evolved into the abstract geometrical tetrahedron you see at Giza. If aliens were guiding that super-slow process then I would expect to see some fucking concrete evidence. An alien skull somewhere, some written records testifying to crazy bug-eyed overlords with tentacles and shit. That's a pretty long period of development and you'd expect to see some mention somewhere of aliens over that period of time. | |

" ![]() The pyramid is highlighted in red, and its two diagonals are extended beyond the end of the pyramid to the north-east and north-west. The mass of squiggly lines above the pyramid is the Delta of the Nile River, and, as you can see the two diagonals encase the Nile neatly and entirely. Yes, I'm sure that the way the Egyptians did this was to have someone walk hundreds of miles to the end of the delta and hold a really, really long piece of string while someone walked all the way back to the site of the pyramid. Then, those two people stood there while two more people repeated the process on the other side of the Pyramid. Just so that they could build a big building in such a way that its diagonals lie on those two lines ![]() The big dark shape on the upper left of this diagram is the great pyramid. If you look at the compass rose in the bottom right, you can see that the pyramid is lined up exactly with the magnetic North Pole, a difference of only 16 minutes, or some absurdly small number like that (there are 60 minutes in one degree). COINCIDENCE? How could the Egyptians possibly have built their pyramid facing the exact magnetic North Pole without even having a compass? FYI, a compass was not invented for a few thousand years after the ancient Egyptians were long gone? What about the fact that even though the sides of the base of the pyramid are some 757 feet long, it still forms an almost perfect square? Every angle in the base is exactly 90 degrees. In fact, the sides have a difference in length of something like two centimeters, which is an incredibly small amount. What about the fact that although the Egyptians kept very careful records about everything they ever did; every king they had, every war they fought, and every structure they built, there were no records of them ever having built the pyramids? What about the fact that the Egyptians had not even invented the wheel yet, but the blocks that they had to carry to build the pyramids weighed about 2 tons each? 4,000 lbs.? What did they do... use cement? In fact, they used so much stone, that if you took all of the stone they used and cut it into 1 foot square blocks, it would extend 2/3 of the way around the earth!!! If you take the line of longitude that the pyramid lies on and the latitude that the pyramid lies on, 31 degrees north by 31 degrees west (the fact that they are the same number is a coincidence???) they are the two lines that cover the most combined land area in the world. In essence, the pyramid is the center of all of the land mass of the whole earth!!!!" |
