I dont think I can be more precise, because I dont know what is going to happen. I do know that its not armageddon. I have to say the odds are stacked in my favor as I cannot give you a precise answer. The best I can do is say its on the level of 9/11, WWI&II, pearl harbor, the atom bomb, what have you. It may or may not incude death, but it will change global politics and humanity in general.

Bottom line there are so many theories and possibilities for dec 21 2012 11:11 am universal time that no one man can say what will happen...no one knows,i been studying 2012 for about 5 years now and i still dont know..some theories say a pole shift, some say judjement day, some say we will all be enlightened and move to a spiritual plain and evolve at once, etc..etc... but what we do know is that its going to be something big. untill then only time will tell.............

Still far too vague unfortunately. Statistically speaking there will be at least one major disaster that year, as there are all years. Any major event such as that will change us a little. I could even narrow it down and say that in that year there will be: a major famine in central China that kills tens of thousands, a secondary one in east Africa in March and a massive outflow of refugees that destablise neighbouring countries. Two very large earthquakes and one tsunami will destroy towns on islands in the east Indian sea. A terrorist incident in Pakistan will kill more than 600 people and continuing military action on the nothern border will escalate. Korea will threaten an actual nuclear attack on South Korea. Increasing power cuts in the UK will cause massive disruption, february floods will cut off two towns for three days. A major football star will die from a drink and drugs overdose, and a major breakthrough concerning the cures for aids and cancer will be discovered... All just playing the odds, of course, but you'll find that most of the above will come true.

How about a guess? 'Something big' doesn't mean a lot.

That would be because that's how the original story came about. Historically we can show exactly where the whole idea of 2012 began with the - wrong - idea that their calender predicted the end of the world, which it didn't. Other people took up that idea and developed it into other things, but the whole crux has always been the mayan calendar. As that angle has been debunked the rest is later fabrications.
