Looking for bird watching forum...

Does anyone know of a Birding forum on the internet BESIDES birdforum.net??


Stupid things happened and I am now banned. I tried to get around it but they figured it out somehow. I just made a new one...from a whole new e-mail address I made...that said I lived in Alaska in stead of Connecticut. It worked.....but when I went to create a thread it said I couldn't because of perhaps 'several reasons'. It said its most likely waiting for an administrator to give it the OK.


The only reason I want to go on a forum like that is so I can post pictures I have taken of birds that I am having trouble identifying, and ask all the people there for help. That site has like 50,000+ members. The next best one I could find probably had less than 1,000.


Any birders here??

Well, it was actually within the first hour of membership.


I was trying to post pics of birds I was having trouble identifing. It wouldn't work. After posting a very long thread on EXACTLY what I did, the only answers I got might as well have been cut and pasted from my post. And that first post waswell mannered, well spoken, very unoffensive....all I dd was express my frustration.....and some dude answered, 'Well how do you expect help with posts like that??'


Whatever.


Then I find out I had to resize them....fine....except a picture of a sparrow taken 100 yards away at a MAX of 800 pixels looks likes a blur. On top of that....you can only upload 3 pics a day!!! I took 417 pics from 6:40-10 am on one birdng trip. I've loaded 40+ picsa day here. Including 5 at a time.


I got pissed and fed up with it so I said..and I quote, 'Fuck this place, I'm out!'. They wouldn't ee how the word fuck. (that isn't a reason to/not to join...but still).


I figured a forum with 50k+ members would be mor advanced.


SHHHHHH!!!! Don't tell but I fooled the system.... I am a member there now . I had to make a fake e-mail with fake a fake name and address.....but hey. It worked! I had to go back because I couldn't find SHIT aftert birdforum.net. And thanks Hempress......I found that one after I went behind the man's back.

Lets just hope they don't realize all the birds I post aren't in Alaska With my luck, a moderator here works there..... However, a message comes up when I try and create a new thread.....

Its funny.......some of the shit I've said here in the last year wouldn't fly at most forums. Gotta love the City.

But you're right.....I've since joined 2 other forums....... Not to mention the three seperate Connecticut Audubon Society outposts within 15-20 minutes of my house.



Patriout...you're lucky..... The only ground-birds I've seen so far are my arch-enemys.......the bastard wild turkeys. They shit all around the area where my feeders/bird baths are set up.....they scrath up the ground looking for seeds......they scare away all the other birds except the boring robins and house sparrows.....and they're ugly. One of my douche-bag neighbors feeds them so I have had a flock of MINIMUM 15 birds around my house EVERYDAY for the last 5+ years. I wish I could see a grouse instead.
