great set of videos hosted by Brian Greene..over the past 2 days i've managed to watch them all (they're split into small chapters no longer than like 10 minutes at most)..definitely check it out if you're interested in this, it's great for helping to understand it

There is a new Science forum this will probably be moved too, just started a week or so ago.

I enjoyed the videos, I think he does a decent job bringing some concepts from modern physics into mainstream audiences.

If you really are interested in getting a good feel for more reasoning behind string theory, I would suggest reading his book The Elegant Universe. The PBS show was based on it but the book goes into far more detail. It is essentially devoid of mathematics due to its complexity. I still liked it, feel I have a better idea of what is physically going on.

yea i read the book and i'd say that for most people's purposes, the videos will do...a lot of people just dont have time to read a book like The Elegant Universe so a video is a nice option, even though it doesn't go as deep into the actual math and everything behind it...the host Brian Greene is the one who wrote the book

i just watched all 3 hours of that video n i'm like totally blown away that theres potentially a theory that can describe how the entire fuckin universe works

makes me wanna devote my life to figurin it out, but i aint that smart when it comes to physics n shit, i'm more of a psychology minded individual so i'll go with understandin people, cuz the universe is somethin u just cant truly comprehend

yea i definitely think about how the universe works all the time but theres just no way to figure it out, unless maybe u can do it through astral projection, which i'm currently trying to learn, the dope is fuckin it though
