nice find, pictures of galaxies and planets have always intrigued me, especially after i blaze, they seem so thought provoking. They help to size everything up, it shows us how truly small we are compared to everything else in the universe. Yet at the same time it sort of makes me sad knowing that we won't possess the ability to travel out of our solar system for a looooong time, right now all we can do is observe.
i found this site a while ago http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html and i thought it was pretty interesting, they add a new picture to it every day so there's always something new to look at

I also enjoy looking at pics of deep space, especially after blazing... It is also cool to just lay outside on a clear summer night and just look at the stars, its so cool to kind of see how its like a sphere above you. The concept of space is hard for us to fathom completely, but as you said yes its very thought provoking. Ya we definitely won't make it out of our solar system in our lifetime, but maybe some of us will have the opportunity to stay in a Lunar hotel?!??
