I am just sitting out in the backyard smokin something nice with nature when i thought of this.

So, you all know how there's different gases that make up our atmosphere here on earth? Well im thinking here like wow what if thc were like 3.8% of it, we would be high 24/7. lol?

So could it be possible that there is a planet out in the universe that has a thc atmosphere?

Surely if it's in the atmosphere and things have evolved to survive this way then it would just feel normal to them. But yeah it would be pretty cool... But I doubt there is :P

The minimum temperature necessary to promote the substance to a gaseous state is 315 °F, which would kill the plants required to release the THC. Sorry, I don't think your dream planet exists.

Then I guess we'd also be dieing of radioactivity and these other chemicals in the air minute or large.

And if you paid any attention in science class instead of skipping to get stoned you'd see the biggest flaw of your claim.

anything is possible bitch boy. We dont know shit on a scale of the universe.

but, id still like to know what that flaw is?

THC is here, there is no proof saying his theory is wrong at all. Cannabinoids exist in this universe, why can't there be a planet somewhere in the universe were a plant releases THC gases without heat? Different things adapt to different circumstances?

I hate when people stomp others ideas.

Because THC has inherent chemical properties that dictate specifically what conditions are required to promote it to a gaseous state. Under the atmospheric pressure of earth, a temperature of 315 °F is required for such a transformation. One would expect that only under significantly reduced pressures would this temperature be lowered to that of our own ambient temperatures.

A second requirement of THC itself is of course its producer, the cannabis plant. Conditions which allow this plant to grow and thrive under 1 atmosphere are a temperature well below 315 °F. I also believe this temperature is sufficient to destroy the plant, and any human being wishing to exploit the effects that THC happens to have with our cannabinoid receptors. The same of course applies to a depressurised system.

So I personally feel that these few ideas are reason enough to consider the unlikelihood of the idea presented herein, and warrant the stomping that has gone on. Sure, you could probably dig up about a dozen other reasons for why this would not be feasible, or even question the relevance or interest of the speculation, but I feel that on some matters the answer is too obvious to even bother...

Was just about to say that at a different atmospheric pressure thc could be in a gaseous state at a much lower temperature, then I read the post above mine haha. Damn thermodynamics. Would be a crazy place to visit though!

Why? Sometimes ideas are just bad. How are we supposed to learn?
creation is an act of will. will is an act of desire. desire is an act in self interest. creation then cannot be perfect.
so how can a perfect universe have been created by intelligence?
perfection of the universe is a result of balance, not intelligence.
