Kief Grinders (owners only)

For all those of you that own a kief grinder,

how long have you had it? how much did you get it for? How well dose it work?

but most important = Do you guys clean your kief grinders? How often and how? i just got a grinder that is a lil dirty and was wondering if i should clean it to get the most kief.

Also hey, if you turn the grinder over wont the kief just go back up in the grinding chamber?

and where do yall store your kief? i'll have pictures of my setup soon,

I had a 3 inch one for 30 bucks off of ebay, it worked great Id smoke it whenver I had a bowls worth, about twice a week. Id normally scrape it real good to when i smoked the keif to get it all. It was defiently worth the money just make sure you'll get the right size.

I got one and it has been building up for 6 months, my friend has one too so I weighed his bottom to see what the metal weighs, so far I got 3gs. I'm planning on taking it out at the end of this month to let it cure in a jar for another month. It's had so many different types of weed pass through it.

I clean the bottom part every two weeks so it doesn't get all sticky and you could also take the bottom part off when dumping out your weed as for when you walk around it should stick to the bottom.

I got mine for $20 from a convenience store, pretty lucky. It's a big one too about a inch and a half in diameter with a magnet clip and everything. work great

i've had mine for at least 6 months. maybe even 9, i'm really not sure.

i got it for 20 on ebay and it's a 2.5" grinder.

i usually let it fill a good amount and then i scrap it all out and put it in a film container.

i only open the film container to put more in. well, i've also been smoking a little since i've been saving so long.

the stuff is STINKY. it almost burns your nose to smell it.

and i usually lick the keif off of whatever i'm using to scrap it, and when i did with the cured keif it burned my mouth. never had keif do that to me before.


ever since getting a grinder i don't know how i ever smoked without one. hand packing is so tedious, and you lose so much potency by ripping the buds apart like that.

and do yall grind up your weed for packin bowls? or just blunts?

i dont ever clean mine... dont really need to i guess... i just let the keif build up in the catcher for about 10 bowls or so and then celebrate sometinhg with a bowl of keif...i got mine for free and it works fuckin fantasticaly.... i dont grind when im smoking with people just because it takes a long time... the problem with mine is its fairly small and i have to scoop the weed with something like a guitar pick or small spoon in order to load a bowl. which is what i do when i smoke alone...and it makes ohhhh such a difference... hope i helped...

grab a mendo mulcher or any other device that looks like it always aluminum or steel

cleaning is rare just tap the to lid parts on the side as you spin it in you rhand failing that push the screen in and out flipping and tapping as you go

worst case soak it in got water or rubbing alcohol and evape that to collect the keif

I clean mine with a little brush, it came with my electric shaver. it's about the size of the grinder with little plastic brissles, its perfectly perfect, it cleans it so damn well I can get a bowl of crystal just from the corners.

I own a nice medium sized Space Case. I paid 70 Canadian for it and i gotta say, its probably the best weed related purchase ive ever made. Its the one thing I will never leave home without. I just keep my kief in the collection part untill its really full, then press it...The Space Case is an amazing grinder, razor sharp grinding teeth, very pure(sometimes bubbling) kief...You cant go wrong with a space case.

hey but can someone please help me understand this:


dosnt the keif just come back up to the top layer? wouldnt this mean for people who have ALOT of kief in the bottom chamber that the large amounts of keif would be alternating in both chammbers, but when you turn it up right the kief falls back to the bottom?

I dunno if you've ever seen or touched kief before, but its extremely extremely sticky, its gonna get stuck to the bottom of the case and wont really budge unless u were to like smack it upside down on a table. Even when mine gets almost full to the brim it still doesnt come back up, the kief kinda takes on a mold of the compartment and sticks in there.

I use one that I got for free, but it is nice, I like to collect the kief before I use it so I have a big pile. As for cleaning it I have not needed to yet, i keep my kief in this plastic container that used to be for makeup. It is one of the best investments for smoking. JOE>

I use a coffee grinder, and it collects keif pretty well. Probably 1.5g of keif from a half Oz.

i just let my grinder build up then once in a while i just check it and sure enough its gross well not gross but wonderful in there
