Rolling a Dutch Master Blunt - *lots of pics*

I've seen enough bullshit and enough people asking how to roll a proper blunt. Here's my how-to roll a Dutch Master, in my opinion, the best blunt that cheap ass money can buy. If you want to see the weed I used, you can go here. Alright, here goes.



Got the goods.




Alright, first off I forgot to take a picture of me separating the outside leaf from the inside blunt wrap. All Dutch Master cigars come with an outer tobacco leaf wrapped around the inside blunt wrap. To remove it, find the end and simply just peel. However, in order to to this, you must lick the cigar thoroughly so that it is moist and the outer leaf does not break or crack in any places. Anyway, here's the outer leaf peeled off of the cigar, with a little bag of what we'll be using today in our blizzunt.




Here's a closeup of the outer leaf that was peeled off. I'm going to set it off to the side until we have done the majority of the rolling, here.




This is the step where you must take a sharp knife/blade and cut down the center of the cigar's "blunt wrap". Do this and just pick all the cigar's tobacco out, and trim the blunt wrap to size depending on how much stuff you got.




Here's everything separated. Remember, I got the outer leaf chilling on the side. It's a good idea to keep that outer leaf moist by licking or breathing on it every once in awhile.




Chuck that tobacco!




Here's where we break up the bud. You don't want to break it up extremely fine, just take it and crumble it (or in my "sticky" situation, pick it apart ).




After you've got all of your bud broken up, pour it into the blunt wrap you trimmed (or didn't trim, whatever floats your boat, I don't like more tobacco than I need). I just took the mousepad I broke up the trees on and shaped it into a cone to pour it in the wrap.




Once you've got it all in the blunt wrap, spread it out a little bit so it's ready to roll. Keep it even so you don't have any weak spots in your blunt.




Get all the bud at the bottom and start gently rolling it to get it shaped for the blunt.




Take the end of the flap where your thumbs were holding the wrap over the bud and push up and tuch in, then start rolling upwards until you reach the top.




After you've rolled it, make sure it's nice and stiff, give it a little spit if needed. Come on, kids, it's ritual - get over the saliva.




Many people stop here, after you've got the weed in the blunt wrap. This is all you get when you buy those flavored blunt wraps in packs. However, if you want to do it my way which doesn't require a piece of paper for a roach and is a more experienced technique, stick with me. If not, twist the ends and light up.




Remember that outer tobacco leaf? Hope you had it moist. Even if you didn't, you're still going to have to lick it (having it moist helps you to not break it with your tongue when you're licking it during this step). Yes, you have to lick it, or it won't stick to the blunt wrap.




Alright, stick the rolled blunt on top of that wet outer leaf at a bit of an angle and just roll it around gently all over the blunt, letting it overlap a bit on each end.




Twist the ends of the outer leaf (this is why you don't need a roach!) and decide which side to light up, it really doesn't matter. Here's your final Dutch Master blunt product:






And that's how we do it in Jersey, boys and girls! Not so hard, was it? With some practice, you can be a "Dutch Master" (I kill myself!) and always be on the roll (again!) when you and your friends want to bake up. Hope this thread helps you all! Dutch Masters ftw! Enjoy.

that's a fine blunt m'friend, though that thing is much slimmer than anything I see out here on the west coast. Most people out here roll alot more weed into their blunts, but at the same time they don't use quite as dank shit as you've got, so meh. I've never seen people roll the outer leaf back onto the blunt, but I'm sure that adds a more spicier tobacco flavor to your blunt.

actually if you do it properly it makes the blunt burn alot slower, this guy licked the wrong side of the leaf and didnt even roll it on properly lol
ps......... You really needed an exacto knife to cut the inner leaf? lol its alot easier just using your fingers mayne.

I don't get whether that's good or bad . . . personally I feel the burning rate should be evenly distributed and give good hits and burn JUST slow enough that none of the weed falls off before turning to grey ash first. For me, burning super slow is something I could never get used to on blunts, I'm more of a joint guy m'self. I'm not saying I like fast burning blunts or joints, but I just feel like you shouldn't have to suck too hard to draw the flame down, y'know?

Maybe I've misinterpreted the intentions of your abovesaid statement . . . but anyways, I actually don't mind a spicy tobacco flavor with my weed, the tastes compliment each other very very well.

not to be a dick but your blunt came out really shitty

break up the weed before you even take the cigar out of the wrapper so the leafs dont get stale. You forgot a really important step, ripping the glue strip off. After you split it down the line, look at one of the edges and their will be a strip of paper, thats the glue strip- rip it off. The outer leaf is the most imortant part in rolling a dutch cause that determines how tight/loose it is and everything. I don't even roll the inner leaf, just lick the edge and close it with my finger.

I just realize it but you roll dutchs a little differnt, instead of putting the leaf on while holding the blunt, put it down on a table or something and put something on the end of t he leaf so it doesnt move, and just roll it nice and tight. It will come out so much more consistent and burn a million times slower cause that thing looks loose as hell.

No offence, but that's a pixy stick, and the best blunts are swisher/optimo blunts. rolled an optimo peach blunt last night and got me fuckin' ripped. Looks like a cool blunt either way.

And just so ya know, I like backwood blunts 'cause they so expensive.
