BrainPain & Pressure after herb smoking.. Read this !!!!

Hi everyone!!! I'm 27 and in shape and herb is not fun anymore, what's going on? anyone else ?


Here is my story... I'm sorry for the length but I'm trying to give as much detail.

I've been smoking for about 8 years now, only 2-3 small pipes (half joint) in the late evenings. Always had a good buzz felling mellow and happy.

Last year in October however my herb smoking experience had changed. It all started with a headache which occured after I got stoned that day. The headache lasted 2 months even if not smoking and was accompanied by muscle tweaches and nausea that was on and off all days long.
I stopped smoking for that time.

2 Months l8r the nausea and constant headache slowly diminished but a deep heavy head pain was still with me through the days at the base of my skull.

Here what I'm experiencing every time I take a drag (a small one too) anything bigger like more than 2 drags of a joint or half full pipe will worsen this symptoms to the point that I feel like I'm going to die at any second INSTANTLY!!

Once it caused a pop sound to come from within my skull (rear top) when moving head left to right. It stayed for about a week even when I wasn't smoking. I actually listened to this sound by placing a sthetoscope on the top of my skull.
It sounded like a rubbery pop, not associated with bone friction or cartilage sound. I know It started from weed cuz I smoked some good shit that night.

Now I'm experiencing all of below less 1 or 2 everytime I take a small drag.

0. Sensation as if I'm about to have some sort of attack@?
1. Tension type headache mostly at the base of my skull very weird pain and incapacitating. Not a migrene
2. Popping and snapping as if a vein or something is inflating causing me a instant panic at every pop as if it is connected with the heart.
3. Panic attack (always triggered by the inflating sensation inside my head), very scary.
4. Heart beats rapidly and causes me panic.
5. Anxiety (mild or non existent if a very small drag)
6. Pain in the liver area and kidneys. Feels as if I have a screw driver handle in the liver area. (not always)
7. A type of headache that freaks me out, I feel as if I'm about to have a stroke or something. (don't know what a stroke feels like so I'm speculating)
8. IBS symptoms (digestive system abnormalities as if every organ is got a problem).
9. Stabbing heavy type of pain in the Spleen and in the Pancreas area.
10. Few visibile muscle jerking and twitches of limbs.
11. Nausea that goes away when I smoke but seems to randomly come when I'm not high or the high had weared off.
12. Severe jaw and teeth root pain, kinda like a heavy lead feeling in the jaw and teeth as if pulling. very annoying.
This sometimes can shift within the jaw areas go to the back or top/bottom. Never any pains in front of the head.
13. More intense jaw & head dull feeling when laying on my back and high.
LAST: My nose is congesting most of the time after smoking.


Here is some facts...

Headache always goes away after sleep (even after 3 hours), but not completely there is stil a mild head pain in the back of the head.

It always come if I smoke regardless of time and type of reefer.

Headache seem to subside after smoking (20-30 minutes or so) then comes back. Yes it's triggered by weed and it's blocked by weed, weird!?

I also noticed some popping as if degongesting comming from my nose when headache subsides or is increasing. WTF ? Ever notice your nose poping and feel completely decongested ?

Some of the severity of these symptoms are lesened if I smoke with other people and I'm physically active while high.

Now I feel the good effects of the buzz only through all of the above symptoms. I'd say 30 minutes of feeling ok buzz after wich shit happens.

I always get enough sleep 8+ hours but going to sleep at 5am.


Some info on my smoking habbits:

I smoke out of a small glass water bong with an ALLUMINUM thing where the herb is lighted. I broke the glass one.

I stay up late 4-5 am. 90% of the time... for 10 years. *games* I work days.

It's humid in my home.

Never smoke before 8pm. ever.
I never increase the dose.

Cheaper quality weed makes milder of the above symptoms.

I miss those days when smoking gave me a nice mellow high.


Can't stop smoking for too long I get too stressed out.
If I do stop I get insomnia and nausea for a week or less.
But that's not why I can't/don't want to stop.
I just love the high but I'm freaked out because the brain pressure symptom. Feels like something is going crack inside my head.



CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME AND IF I'm IN DANGER ? What changed inside me that is causing this reactions to weed ? any weed !? I WAS FINE 1 YEAR ago regardless what and how much I'd smoke.

I've done blood tests and been to the doctor. Found nothing.
Doc says it's all in my head etc.. Well I coulnd't tell him about the weed because I know the answer.
I look perfectly normal without signs of disease or anything wrong with me.


WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH ME AND WEED ?


ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS WOULD BE GREATEFULLY WELCOMe. Anyting you have let me know!!

I would go to a different doctor. Its obviously not "just in your head". I would think long-term pain associated with your head/brain could potentially be a very serious problem and any real doctor worth a shit would treat it as such.

You can also tell them you smoke weed. Im sure they know its not all that bad for you as long as its done in moderation. Legally they cant use that information to get you in trouble or anything. Anyway, its important that they get all the information surrounding your condition.

first of all, what happened exactly that made you think smoking marijuana caused this? second, something similar happened to me a while ago but it wasn't that severe and I attributed it to the fact that I grind my teeth in my sleep and have kind of messed up teeth to begin with. the stomach problems and various other pains didn't happen to me though. It could be something as simple as drastic changes in air pressure doing wacky things to your head. I used to get horrible pains in my ears when I was young because my ustation (sp?) tubes were apparently abnormally small. causing pressure in my head when the air pressure dropped below a certain point. btw ustation tubes are a part of your inner ear that connect to your sinus, usually when you get an ear infection that's the culprit. simply put, any undue pressure on your head could cause these symptoms. it could be from air pressure, grinding your teeth, or perhaps something as serious as a brain tumor (don't mean to freak you out here). It would be worth seeing another doctor about it, when I was younger a serious condition I had was overlooked because my doctor thought it was 'in my head'.

Oh, though it shouldn't cause symptoms like what you're experiencing, smoking out of aluminum is supposedly unhealthy and should be avoided if possible

hmm...all I have to say is that if marijuana is the cause for all this shit your feelin then its because of some kind of bad reaction with you...Im guessing that your story is probably true, but is very rare if anything...Your probably allergic or somethin, sux to be you

























As for me...My head feels real nice after I smoke, and my body gets calm and not so tense and anxious, so it does the complete opposite for me as it does for you I guess man, sorry to hear about that...You could always just switch to shrooms and salvia or some other kinda substitute until you get it all figured out...I know it sux to be sober for long, but I hope you get it figured out dude, peace

well, i can say that sometimes i do feel some pressure when I smoke the good shit. Only happens when I smoke crippy or the good shit, not swag az u people may call it. I dunno, it feels like my ears got pressure, its the same pressure that i feel when Im flying in a plane. It could also but something in ur sinuses. I dunno, i guess this doesnt happen to everyone cuz everyone iz different. They may have something different in their ears or somethin that doesnt let pressure affect them. When I smoke good shit, it juss feels like theres pressure in my head, but not so intense that I get a headache, but it is noticeable. Sometimes I think its cuz Im so high that my brain iz sizzling, lol, i dunno.

I guess u can tell ur doctor about that u smoke weed, he may have some knowledge on ur problem having to do with weed or something. w/e, I hope it gets better soon cuz shit like this sounds serious mang. iight! im out......

im for real, my friend and i used to have an aluminum screen, and when we smoked we would be high for about 20 minutes, and then just lay there in pain, headaches nausea, it was a terrible terrible terrible experience...HORRIFYING...then i turned 18 and bought screens, no more headaches, no more nausea nothing...nothing but highness...

go without the aluminum...but who knows, you may have already smoked enough to be f*cked for a long long time...not trying to scare you but SHIT MAN....ALUMINUM!!!

i work in a hospital so i see alot of things. not all docs are good ones. i would definately go to a different doctor. i'm not sure where u live but here in sask. you have to get a referal from your family doc. either to get a 2nd opinion or to see a specialist. talking to a neurologist might be a good idea. by all means i am no doc. but just givin you some ideas i have. maybe it has something to do with your late nites. that's harsh on the bod man. really. something is definately up, i would for sure check it out. and get a new doc? to me any doc who says it's in your head is fucked up! u have some mean symptoms. CHECK IT OUT.

ok..well..i just spent like an hour looking trough the anuls of gcity, for the post where i told my aluminum story...but, i couldnt find it


i made a bong, the screen was made out of a sprite can, my parents went out of town so i decided to bake out all night..anyway, after the second bowl, i was toasted, then i got this EXTREMELY cold, almost freezing sensation in the right side of my brain and it slowly moved to the left, and then i started almost convulsing it felt like...twitching and whatnot, and then my feet felt like they were on fire, and i got a terrible feeling , like i was dying..i couldnt stop clenching my teeth, and i needed to puke, so i ran to the bathroom and hurled in the tub, because i couldnt aim well enough to get it in the toilet, and then i felt like i had to shit, and i had TERRIBLE diahrhea, and i thought i was exploding, and then the next 30 minutes are gone..i think i passed out...this whole sense of frozen headedness,it was the most intense thing of my life, and everybit of it i attribute to the aluminum, because ever since i bought screens it has been nothing but high for me, no unpleasant brain pains or anything

Exactly, I've experienced that too. That dying feeling.. I've been smoking fromthe alluminum for I'd say 3-4 years constant. Also,
would alluminum foil go in the same cathegory ???

Weather seems to cause some of the dull pain in my head. Also, if I'm in a room with air conditioning I experience that pulling jaw/head pain instantly. It milds out once I'm in dry 70+ degrees.

Would a hair analysis show aluminum intoxication ? There are some sitez that offer $40 hair test for over 200 metals all at once. etc...

I can't say that weed caused this but it definatelly triggers it.

I also take monopril for High Blood pressure that I also found I had when all this started... Hypertension...

Wow, speaking of the teeth I often find myself during the day grinding my teeth but mostly when I'm in pain... I see to grind on the right front K9 part of the jaws. Don't know about sleep though....

I feel that this grinding is from been in pain so long...or something... Also, I've had a test for TMJ (manual) by my dentist and he found it non existent.

yeah, aluminum cans, aluminum foil...thats all bad, we used it for about 3 or 4 months, and didnt figure out that it was the aluminum until we didnt use aluminum....and by deductive reasoning, that was all it could have been.

There are pets in the house too... 3 Dogs and 1 Cat they are upstairs and never come in the room I'm in


I know exatctly how it makes you feel because I was feeling just that for the past 8 years. This had all happened out of the blue last year in october. Shit, I've even taught I was poisioned w/anthrax for a period of time that's how bad this illness had gotten at times.

But now the main concerns are the head pain which feels as if some lead is being molded in my head and jaws. Pain does seem to shift around.

For your info...Aluminium is bad to a certain degree. Crystal Meth users utilizes the aluminium foil method of chasing the dragon...so to speak.

You have use a toothpaste to rid the top layer off [of] the dull side....

Using the shiny side will cause you to have a big BLACK BAKED LUNG.

You are definately experiencing the harmful effects of aluminium.

If you are still planning on smoking...I suggest you buy yourself a vapourizer to save your lungs....your nerves seemed to have hit the nail too....

Unless you have done a lot of hardcore drugs in the past, these symptoms you are experiencing, I've seen them on my friend before....who unfortunately passed away 2 years back.

I am sure if anyone would care at all, they would definately advise you to stop smoking for a while. Let your lungs cool off first.....when you feel ready for a toke....then toke it....IF not, don't bother holding a bong and start coughing your lungs out...

It's all a matter of balance...maintain it and you'll be fine...Drink lots of water to drain your toxins out...

If you can travel, I would suggest that you take a trip to Thailand to drink Snake's blood to cleanse your body. The natural-occuring chemicals will rid your body of toxins and flush out any harmful bacteria....

Lots of hardcore druggies use snake blood either to quit or to maintain a balance....

I am not an opposer of Western Medecine....but there are more natural stuff than the Penicilin, Anti-biotics....and what-not...

Get opinions from different physicians....some of them are just as fried they do not know what they are talking about...I've met some really fried PhD holders in the hospital...lol
