My trip to the headshop...

Well it all started yesterday at lunch, I was cleaning the inside of my bowl and one side of it just caved right in. So I had to get a new bowl or I couldnt blaze the rest of the day. I called my friend and he said he would love to go to the headshop.
I get to the first headshop and I dont see anything I like, theres another headshop right beside, so we go into the next one, and this guy is maybe 20 years old and hes selling a whole bunch of pipes and stuff under the counter.
He points me out to thhis nice ash catcher/bowl and I knew that one was for me.

My friend is stilll looking around and then there was a knock at the window, and the worker from the other headshop came in and was like: "you guys wanna smoke a joint".( From all the stories i'v heard here about you have to say water pipes instead of bong and you cant mention weed, I was amazed that they were so slack. )
So we walk right outside and start smoking a joint right in the street, in front of 2 headshops whiles everyone was walking by.
Anyways thats my story, I'm just wondering why other headshops are so strick while some are just slack like these ones. The guy also told me if I ever needed to roll a joint in the store, he would show me all the dead spots on the cameras.

Lol...that's most def. a headshop I'd go to regularly.
The 1st time I ever went into a headshop was with a friend (he was getting a scale.) Anyway, I was broke as hell (what's new?), so I just sort of "window shopped" while he looked for the perfect scale. [Also, btw, I was wearing my black bondage pants.]
2nd time I go in, my friend's picking up some detox pills. I'm just there to chill with him, and the lady at the counter says, in a very thick southern accent, "Those are some wacky pants you got there!!" I smile, and thank her (what else can ya say?)
Then she continues with: "Someone came in here wearing pants just like those a few days ago!!"
I just chuckle.

^^ thats funny there arnt anyheadshops around me so i go to the city (nyc) and its pretty chill there i wish i had a local one

I bought a steamroller and bowl yesterday.

Their both color changing ,the roller has a dragons mouth that the smoke comes out of.. and the bowl is a mushroom that stands upright. I love em!

congrats on the new piece...btw... I remember when a headshop owner hooked me up with some DANK...only time I have ever had COMPLETELY ORANGE BUD...no green at all...looked like tons of hairs making a buds....never green!

i go to Sugar Daddys in Boston, or Good Times in Manchester Nh.

Sugar Daddys is cool because i go in there so often that everyone knows me. ive even been requested to give my address to the manager so he can come over and see the 30in Rasta RooR, cause he wanted to buy it. the guys there always cut me a 30-35% discount, and more if its a bigger piece. its nice to be able to go in and just talk about pieces, which is how i learn so much, and get the info on when stuff is coming in.

Good Times is less personal. they deal with alot of people all the time, and dont remember people that come back often (or dont seem to, i was there 3 times in a few weeks and they never mentioned having seen me). They also dont know as much about the pieces. I was in there and they had a mike fro/RooR colab beaker (1 of 20 in that set). I was looking at it and said "cool, thats a fro", and the lady was like "um, no, its a RooR", and points to the label. to which i reply "no, its a mike fro/RooR colab tube, mike fro did the headie inset". and shes like "oh, yea, its one of 20, nice to see people that know their glass". by this time im thinking, "just give it to me, id give it a better home, u moron." they have good prices, so that makes up for it, but they dont cut deals, which is kinda snobish.

True that, at least not in my part of florida anyways (jacksonville). What part are you from? There are a few gas stations here and there that sell pipes, and a liquor store with a pretty nice selection of glass pipes, Im buying one there soon. But as far as full on head shops go, I havent seen one near me.
