Poem, pot related.

So i had to write a poem for my English class. It is about drugs, but it can also be about love, life in general, finding your place in life. No you may not reproduce this copy at all without my consent. I only write poetry when I'm on somthing and it happens to be codine. I'd like some feed back on the poem.

Dazed

Turn your head,
Look and see,
Is it what,
It’s meant to be?

Shapes change,
Colors fly,
No more,
Being shy.

Am I real,
Or am I dead,
Is this just,
In my head?

Take my word,
For it is right,
I won’t give in,
Without a fight.

Lay my head,
To the ground,
Listen to,
My heart pound.

Nothing left,
Reality has ceased,
Emerging now,
Is my inner beast.

Yeah, I don't know, I kind of like writing poetry. Only when I'm on drugs though, it just helps it flow. I like writing about my experiances with drugs, it is broad and most people can then relate it to being dizzy with love, being dizzy with life. But in my mind.. I know this poem is dedicated to DXM and Weed together.. It is definatly just dedicated to that.

Make one about a shroom trip man!!!!
Make it all crazy and shit.
But not for english, youd probably fail since shroom trips are more artish than literaturish.

Well I've only done shrooms one time, and it wasn't a whole lot. I will write you one in the near future when I experiance them. If you guys want I will write some more poems, but not tonight. If I get some sleep, and I get some sticky tommorow i'll smoke a bowl and write up some poems.. Thanks for the good word on my poem though guys. I really like it, but maybe thats because I wrote it. But I know a lot of you can relate to it.

Cool poem dude, I write poetry myself it's quite fun. I've been for about 2-3 years now. When I was in high school I normally got called a fag because I guess only gay people write poetry... that makes Jim Morrison, and Bob Dylan gay. Well anyway good poem keep writing!

Thanks for the kind words. That's the first poem I've written in probley.. two years. I use to enjoy writing poems. I like wiritng them about my drug experiances thought, as I stated before. It is just somthing that you can only put down in poetry to try and explain the feeling.

nice poem man. I only write poems when im on something too. heres one I wrote a while ago, I was stoned to the bone and looking at a beautiful landscape when I wrote this:

A warehouse sits
Where a willow tree stood
A weeping willow
Weeping
For the last hurrah of mother earth
Crushed- like so many dried leaves
Swirling in the breeze
Carried helpless to their fate
Hurried by the winds of time-
The same that propel us
Forward, to industry’s cold embrace
To the end of ourselves
And the natural world
Veni, Vidi, Vici,
Floret silvia nobilis
Amen


not too sure how I feel about that one, but its the only one still on my computer.

Well i've dug out my old notebooks and found my old poem from like 9th grade. It's not the greatest poem, since I hadn't taken my poetry class yet and I haven't edited it in anyway.

They say were free,
but only in our minds.
Caged for the use of words,
true freedom is dead!

They say they dont lie,
while on the stand.
Beat down from words
they know aren't true

Were has freedom gone?
Who dictadted who's right?
True freedom is dead!

This isn't mine but a ex-member of another forum I used to post at created it. Its an amazing piece and sadly this person passed on. I saved it because well.. Its really well worded and I didn't want it to be forgotten. So here it is. I'll post some of my stuff later.
