Grower of dealer?

[Sorry to keep starting threads but I've been meaning to ask this questions for a while.]

I was just reading that a lot of commercial bud(stuff you get from dealers) is grown using cheap fertilizers and other unsavory methods to get as much weed as possible is as short a time as possible and can be somewhere unhealthy for you compared to a grower who has a much smaller amount of plants, takes his time, takes care, etc.

Do any of you buy from/know a grower or do you just pick up from a dealer to get your bud? Any other thoughts on the subject?

If I could, I would get it from a grower, in fact, I intend to soon grow my own. But for now, I'm stuck with lame ass dealers (that have ultra-dank )

Ha ha nice! We have licensed cannabis shops out here too

But the only problem with the setup out here is that the easy availability makes us lazy as fuck, esp. when it comes to growing etc. You agree? But otherwise, yeah, this setup rules!

It's great in the licensed shops because they have official inspectors come in and ensure quality periodically. This way quality won't be erratic and the greens will always be pure. But alas, it made me one lazy SOB

if u know a grower, duh yea go to them. you're gonna get a lot cheaper. otherwise, u really dont have a choice do you?

Oh, and as far as i know, there's no way to force greens to grow faster etc.

I didn't really mean commercial weed is forced to grow faster. I meant that some strains take longer to grow and they aren't really available commercially(street weed). Apparently sativa, for instance, takes longer to grow and you don't tend to get it on the street. Of course, this is second hand information...

sadly enough i usually only buy from dealers... its mostly high mids to dank kb so its not too bad. i do have this connection in BC who grows pounds and pounds of amazing strains. but seeing how i live in ontario, it makes it somewhat difficult for me to grab off him. but when i do... wow im blasted off several bong rips..

I'm able to get sativa strains all the time in Houston. Unfortunately I don't know any growers so I have to get bud from dealers, but it's pretty good usually anyway so I don't mind to much.

i hope what your dealer has better weed than i get, mostly if not all of it here is the nastiest MEXICAN weed ,,,, that is the main reason im growing myself. a lot of dealers buy a ounce for 100.00, and make a 60.00 profit, not bad doubling your money that way.get some good seed , grow your own. save the money,,,

my dad was fortunate enough that when he lived down hawaii he was able to get his nugs from an autogarage (this was in the 70's)..........was talking about maui wowie (sp?) and all the other stuff I cant get here in kansas

I guess what your talking about is the difference between a huge Beaster grow and a small serious grow. The bud that gets pumped out the big ass grow isn't gonna be flushed properly nor grown to its peak potency. The result of this is a crappy ass product that tastes like shit and gives a foggy lame indica high. On the other hand you can have smaller grows where each plant can be given much more attention. In a case like this the grower will usually take the time to flush plants properly and let them go as long as they need. What you get in this case is a delicious tasting fragrant bud of dank AAA grade bud.
