The rules look pretty good and fair, but I don't follow a lot of them, and neither do the kids I smoke with. I feel like if someone is toking up with you and using their weed and not charging you, they can pretty much call most of the shots. If someone rolled a joint and took like 15 hits and then gave me only 3 or 4 for free, I wouldn't complain.

You know how in the Major League Baseball each stadium has it's own "ground rules"? They are always very minor differences that pertain to each stadium, but when you are the visiting team you play by the home teams rules.

When you are smoking somebody else's weed you go by there rules. If it's your weed, it's your rules. However nobody likes those annoying people who can't stop talking about the rules. I usually prefer one hit to be taken by each person participating in the smoking session. This allows people to take bigger and deeper hits and hold them in longer while also getting it passed around faster, which is also especially important with a blunt or joint because it limits the wasted smoke flying up into the air while the smoker is holding it.

However there are exceptions to this rule. When an expensive piece such as a nice bong, vaporizer, or nice bubbler is being used (especially when it's by choice and there are other options) than the owner of the piece can sometimes get the first hit. It shouldn't matter that much, but it's up to the owner of the piece.

Another exception is if you are smoking in somebody else's house or perhaps their car. However this isn't too important.

Most important rule of all when using a bowl, bong, or bubbler: Don't excessively burn the weed. Also don't burn too much of the bowl. Bring the flame to the surface of the weed and inhale, don't burn deep or torch the bowl. If it is cherried just hit it, don't use a lighter (exceptions with bongs).


Green Hit Rules:

Your green hit should never take up half the bowl. You should be able to at least get 4 green hits. When smoking each person should rotate around the bowl to ensure it burns evenly. Yes it does matter.

Their not over complicating it, this is more for those annoying kids or unexperienced smokers that just done have good "pot etiquette". If you think about it, you and your friends follow these rules subconsciously or not. These are all(mostly) basics things that we've all learned from experience or for me it was smoking with older sister when i was younger and just watching and observing.

ya I also disagree with #14 and think some of them are too meticulous, but for someone who doesn't know the tools of the trade then its good to read over. Some things are common sense and some things you just pick up with time It all molds into becoming a "seasoned toker"
I mean if im in rotation with 3 or 4 ppl and someones had enough for the time, for whatever reason, then hey, thats cool with me man. Thats more ganja for the rest of us as far as I'm concerned. And they can always jump back into rotation if they want, but they don't get to bogart it or "make up for all the hits they missed" or some stupid shit like that . ive been smoking almost everyday for 2 years now since i started, n i rele dont care bout a lot of this stuff. i hate those kids who u smoke with n every little detail has to be there "way when they smoke"

I agree with pretty much everything besides rule #1 and #19. I don't care who rolled it, if its my weed, I'm taking the first hit. Paying and caring for the weed is much more involved than simply spending about 1 minute packing a bowl or rolling a jay.

i think he meant as in dont blow the ash all over the floor unless the homeowner does not care because thats considered rude.

at least i think thats what he meant because all my freinds use the same rule when we smoke in our dorms lol
