lately i've been thinking a lot about moving to the west coast. LA is starting to make me feel like i'm suffocating....i'm sure there's some west coast people on here. I'm thinking california. Where do you guys live at? how's the area, and what are living expenses like. what's minimum wage and all that good stuff.

Ive been there a few times, most recently a couple weeks ago...ITS AWESOME Pretty pricey though, but then again youll probably be making more money there too. Dont know about weed there but I hear its awesome and probably the most lax town about weed in the US.

I live in washington. The minimum wage is $7.63/hr. The cost of living is low unless you live in seattle area, i hear its expensive there.

I live in San Jose, Its nice but it can get pretty expensive I agree with the user above I wouldn't recommend L.A. cause there are way to many people and a few other reasons on his list.

I like San Jose and I can get the best buds around so I'm happy pay isn't to bad you can work at an in and out burger make 10 bucks an hour so I'm sure finding work with some decent pay shouldn't be to hard

Portland is pretty sick

nobody cares about weed (we walk down the sidewalks smoking blunts every day)
pretty big city (about 1.2 mil in all of portland)

min. wage is about 7.70-8.10? i dont remember anymore..
lots of good jobs, good employment rates
coast is 1-2 hours away, depending on what beach you go to
mountain is 1.5 hours away

anyway, i have lived several places and portland is forsure my fav.

minimum wage in cali is $6.75. i work at a tire shop making $8.00 bucks an hour. you could make more if you go to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. you could make $12-$15.00 dollars an hour working at a burger king or something. theyre desperate for help out there. Cali living cost is high no matter where you go unless its skid row or something. but a typical 1 bed apt will cost about $1,000 a month. im in San Pedro and its about that much. weed is pretty easy to come by, just gotta look and ask around. thats what i did. and it is indeed the bomb. an 1/8 of good dank is about $50. head shops are quite common in most parts. people are also generally unfriendly and dont have the best driving skills. and USC blows ass. go longhorns.

I have a beach hosue in Santa Cruz. I live mainly in East Bay San Fran though. The weather in the Bay Area is great compared to other places. I agrre though, LA is horrible. Santa Cruz is the perfect place because you don't have the assholes from SoCal but you have the beaches and woman.

And be prepared to bring lots of money for rent and expenses. Min. wage is $6.75 but be prepared to shell out at the very least $1000/month on a 1bedroom 1 bath. SF and LA prices are the highest (I've seen $2100 for a shitty 2 bd. apt. in the Mission District of SF)

gl CA is a great place to live. Oh yeah and pot is decriminilized meaning $100 fine for under 1 oz. of weed.
