why does bad weed have seeds?

Ive always wondered this. Why does dank have no seeds but shwag/mids always has tons of seeds? Do you pick it earlier or something?

No seeds means the plant was not polinated by a male cannabis plant. Shitty weed has seeds because the grower did not want to deal with picking the males.

Good weed has no seeds because the grower picked any and all males that would otherwise pollinate the female plant.

Weed without seeds is usually more potent because the plant was using energy to produce THC instead of seeds.

Most weed has seed because growers in places like mexico and spain (where most usa mids come from) are more concerned with profit than quality. They have large crops of plants and dont take the time to remove all males when necessary. Come harvest time most of the buds have seeded, and all the gooey resin found on horny female plants has been turned into seeds. The buds are then compressed into blocks and packaged for transport.


High quality bud is usually grown in smaller amounts by individuals growing from home or commercialy, eg amsterdam. It has no seeds because the resin the females produce to catch pollen from males, doesnt get any polen, so we are left with a nice fat sticky bud with no seeds

thc is a natural thing that the female plant produces to attract the male pollen. when it gets pollinated than it doesnt need to make so much thc so that why seedy weed is ussually pretty shitty.

It's pod protection really... THC is one heck of a UV blocker if stress or damage does happen by one of her buds the trichromes smear almost like a liquid bandaid
