There seems to be a lot of confusion at the moment in numerous threads that I have read, about the exact nature of hash. I hope to settle this arguement and the rumours once and for all with this comprehensive guide to Hash.

Hash - Hash is the THC-rich resinous material of the cannabis plant (Trichomes,pollen and crystals are some of the words used to desscribe this), which is collected, dried, and then compressed into a variety of forms, such as balls, lumps, sheets etc. Pieces are then broken off, placed in pipes or cigarettes, and smoked.

The Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan,Morrocco, Asia and Afghanistan are the main sources of hash, but it can also be made by any dedicated indoor home grower. The THC content of most hash ranges from about 6% in low quality cut (mixed with numerous other products) hash, and as much as 22% in high quality pure hash.

The phrase "SoapBar" refers to low grade hash, usually containing minimal amounts of cannabis product that is mainly imported from spanish areas after being cut with any number of things. This is called soapbar due to the fact the large amounts can be found in bars resembling a bar of soap.

Depending on the area that you buy from, Hash can be called anything from Hash, to solids, resin, pollen, etc so be vigilant.

Most hash is light brown and darkens in color as it picks up impurities.
