whats up, and i got a quick question!

First and foremost, its time to say whats up. I've been reading weed forums for a while, and i thought this one was pretty cool. Some of you cats are hilarious. Especially like Nubbin and the Model in the black wife beater. Some of you regulars are funny too. The dumb questions are hilarious too. But reading this forum blazed is fucked to acutally laugh out loud. GAWD! Anyways, im done my calculus exam and its time..TO WASTE TIME! So i guess i'll start posting. yAH...so whats up to everyone!

Now onto my questions...First, i recently watched nice dreams and i just wanted some opinions. You think that that stedtenko thing would smoke good? It looks kinda cool. Anyways second question, when buying a glass spoon or bubbler whats the number ONE thing to look for. Reason is im getting older, its time to up my smoking standards and go for the clean glass. Apart from obvious prices and looks. Quality wise.

well dude I would simply give you the following advice- number one thing to look for is that it is made of glass seing as you want a glass peice. Number two I would reccomend that you perhaps look for seams, joins, warps in the glass which may stretch wrong and anything that just doesn't look right. A good glass peice should look like one peice of smooth glass with no irregular features.

a nice thick glass is aslo good as most people know and get something you like because you will keep it a long tiem and it will be a conversation peice

definitely look for thickness. i've broken a few glass pipes and it is not a fun thing to do. A nice thick piece of glass should be able to withstand a pretty hard hit.

Also look at the size of the hole in the bowl. a small hole is limits the size of your hit, but if a hole is too big some of the erb could suck right through. find the right size for you.

what he said, and, the site didn't work for me so i couldn't look but definitely an added bonus is anything that is color-changing glass. there's nothing more fun than watching your piece turn from hints of light blue to crazy purples, blues and greens... and then when you clean it you can go through the process again. i'm addicted to glass pieces i *love* em.

but yeah, erm, sorry, thick glass is good, and be careful not only for the bowl's hole but also the passage way through the pipe. i bought the phattest looking glass piece, but it has a very thin stem and it gets clogged ALOT with resin so if i choose to use it i have to clean it VERY regularly. not a huge drawback but nevertheless a pain when you're stoned.

oh one more thing: if you like the smooth hits of a bong but don't see one in your price category, try bubblers. they still use water to filter the smoke a little, and i have the perfect lil bubbler that hits like a charm... and rarely use another piece.

oh and btw gangafish.....while i wanna up my smoking standards with glass, i really cant budget a bubbler. They're roughly 100-150 here as oppose to a 40 spoon. When i go to university next year ill definitly get one tho.

just to add.......is LENGTH of the total pipe important? I want something relitively big long right?

It really depends on what you want in a pipe. When I buy a piece of glass teh first thing I check is the size of the bowl. There are some pipes that look big, but have a deceptively small bowl. I also prefer the pipes that are small enough to palm in an emergency. Just hold it in your hand and see if you can wrap your hand all the way around it. Pretty much everything else is just personal preference.

the length isn't really relavant, that i have ever noticed. i do like big headie pieces though!

good luck on the bubbler fundage, a glass pipe will do you very well until you can afford one!

OH MY GOD!..HE MENTIONED NUBBIN!..I LOVE THAT GUY!....I'd like to thank Namron for giving me the strength to be myself when nobody else believed in me...and I'd like to thank RMJL for being crazy and crying about everything which in turn gives me a chance to pick on her even more....i love you guys

The main things I look for in a piece are:

1- Thickness....Thin is not always bad, but if you constantly turn retarded once you've been smoking, you may not want a piece that shatters easily.

2-bowl....I only buy pieces with HUGE bowls, I like em big. Although the size of the hole in the bowl is very important too....Too small, and the size of the bowl is pointless, too big and you get a lungfull of nug.

3- Carb.....unless its just a small glass one hitter, then it best be havin' a nice sized carb in comparison to the piece. The guy I buy from right now makes the perfect size carbs, they can seriousely clear the chamber with such stoned ease that I get goose pimples as I type this.. people seem to not care about carbs much, but if its too small for the piece its on, then Its kind of pointless.

4- chamber size....even though it may just be a small spoon or other piece, that doesnt mean it cant have a nice fat chamber, and I like pieces that arent just a straight line from the bowl to the mouth piece..I like swirls, turns etc. they REALLY help keep out any pieces that may slip through the bowl..and since most glass pieces dont use screens, the turns and swirls are my last line of defense from a red hot burning ash....

5-...and last but DEFINATELY not least.....looks.....if the piece is the coolest damn thing on earth, but it has no interesting or attractive design and its a baby shit green, then I wont buy it...every one of my pieces that Ive bought, all have their own look, which in turn gives them a personality. And who can stand smoking out of a piece with no personality?...I know I can't....crushed soda cans are fine for a while...but once you move on to the art of glasswork, its nice to have a piece that matches/fits/compliments your personality.

Hey bud, im from the TDot aswell and wanted to recomend THC. That place, while it may not be as classy as friendly stranger, has some amazing prices! I baughta glass bong with 2 bowls and a case for 34 bucks.

Check out THC its defiantely a really sweet store.

Oh, and by the way, the people who work their are almost all assholes, i found one guy who was helpful but thats it.

The prices are definately worth it tho.
