Do any of you ever reach the point where you just don't see the point of smoking anymore?

When i first started smoking fairly regularly i saw weed as an alternative to alcohol so i would only smoke on weekends and my goal would simply be to get as high as possible. This was easy since my tolerance was at it's lowest. Then I started to smoke more often and it changed to where i saw weed as an alterative to reality. This is the stage i was at for the longest. I would just sit around with some friends at my dealers house and simply smoke weed all day and watch movies or play video games. I went from trying to get as high as possible to trying to get high for as long as possible.

Since I was smoking massive amounts of pot at this time my tolerance eventually built up to the point where I couldn't really tell if I was high or not. I would feel a bit of a body buzz but all it really did was relax me. It also made me think more. Sometimes I would just smoke and then lie down in bed and do nothing but think about shit. I don't mean that I would trip out, I would just lie down and plan things and try to understand everything in my life. So at this stage I was starting to see weed as an alternative to cigarettes. I was smoking cones that were less than half the size that I could smoke and I wasn't smoking it as often as I could either. It felt like it was just a waste of money to smoke it all in one session. Because my tolerance was so high I didn't care what I was doing, I was doing it stoned. This is also the point where I stopped considering weed to be a drug (I still don't).

I'm now at the point where I just don't see the point of smoking anymore. It just seems like a waste of money and time. I'm not complaining about having too high of a tolerance. If anything I'm happy with having a high tolerance since I can still do the same shit I would do if I was sober... it's just more enjoyable.

I think it may simply be that I'm getting bored with smoking but then again I always enjoy it. It could be that I'm jealous of all the people who can enjoy life without pot. It could also be that I'm sick of all the shit that's come from smoking weed. My parents caught me 3 times in one day just last week and even though they don't care I still don't like them knowing I smoke. I also got busted for my first time (have been caught a few times before but was let off with warnings) by the cops last week. I've also gotten a lot tougher since I started smoking which I'm not sure is good or bad. Just last weekend I had 17 friends come help me fight these dealers who were sending me death threats when back before I was smoking I would have gone straight to the cops. There's just so much shit I've gone though that wouldn't have happened if I didn't smoke. All I know is that I never want to go back to seeing weed as an alternative to reality.

I only smoke every other day now and I feel the only reason for that is because I've become psychologically addicted to weed (too much of anything can make you an addict). I'm seriously considering quiting weed altogether. So anyway that's my life story haha. So what do you guys think? Is this just another phase I'm going through and soon I'll see weed in a new way or do you think I should just fuck it all off and start living legally? Have any of you ever felt this way? If so, what did you decide to do and how did it work out for you? I'm not sure if I can even go a month without smoking. Last time I tried to quit I went for 2 weeks

yo dude fucking up people who are fucking with you is better then calling the cops. fuck the police that is just extra court costs and all of this shit when it comes down to it.

if you didnt enjoy the high then you wouldnt smoke weed. i say you should just take one break and look forward to how low your tolerance will be and that will get you through it. it is fine if you smoke like once a week but just dont do it every day or even every couple days...just wait and dont be a pussy and just dont smoke. then your tolerance will be down and weed will be the shit again.

However.....Weed is also a huge pain in the ass....the legal ramifications are bullshit,
Dealing with Dealers is bullshit, growing is a pain in the ass and seems to take forever, the cost is outragous, the social discrimination still remains a huge problem, getting high for fun can be more of a task then something enjoyable, An finally people moreso now days will sell you out to the cops in a fuckin heartbeat...which ruins friendships an causes alot of violence.

Ill will still smoke ...but for reasons other then I used to....now its for pain an sleep.
the afore mentioned paragraph are things that took a hell of alot of fun out of something that should always be fun...

If you feel burnt out on weed, devo, maybe it is time to take a break. Life isn't absolutes, you wouldn't have to quit forever but you could go back to being a weekend smoker quite easily if you took a good break. At least from a tolerance standpoint.

You guys are so right, and devo that shit happened and happens everyday do me, and happenned to 90% of the tokers around the world, I´m on a brake right now, I haven´t smoke for 1 month and by the end of the month Im goona start all over again but now with concsience, meanwhile I got a job and re-organized my life and Im feeling great.... peace

i took a week long break came back yesterday to it had 1.7 grams of dank and got fucken ripped it was soo nice i love tolerance breaks weed for me is just a time to relax and have fun

Man you guys smoke pot just to get stoned? man lame! I smoke pot cause i get closer to god,myself and mother earth. i smoke pot to see things i wouldnt see, think of things i wouldnt normally. get closer to my true thoughts! you dont say shit you would normally when sober, you let yourself go when stoned. myself i have been smoking weed for 7 years and never just did it to get stoned! I have always loved how you smoke pot then draw or listen to music u hear things and think of shit you would never think of! i also noitice things in movies and everywhere in teh world i wouldnt. marijuana is awsome like that. it has made me a more humble and good person than i use to be! to smoke pot just to get away from life is just like doing any hard drug like booz, your not geting away from your probelms your just making it harder and harder! man dont do pot just to get stoned. if that was the reason i did it i would of quit years ago! Thinking things I normally wouldn't is really cool, but it's not the reason I do it. I do it just to get stoned, it has a little spiritual value, but im there to get fucked up, not become one with myself.

I smoke to have fun and to help myself to relax, something that I've never been able to do without the aid of smoking.

In my opinion, if you don't think that you could go a month without smoking, then you should take a break. Weed is a great thing, but it should never control you.

Don't smoke every day for the sake of smoking everyday, unless you really can't control it. Controlling your hobby makes it all the more special. Don't forget that, or it'll lose its meaning and become boring, as you've discovered.

Well i smoke everyday, however i take weeks on end without smoking, so its not everyday but when i do its everyday..lol anyhow smoke when ur 100% sure u dunt have anything to do. dun be a dumbass and smoke in school or work. anyhow happy smoking
