Best bong for cheap

I have a few nice peices of glass now, but one night while high I was feeling inventive. I was looking at some RooR bongs and I was thinking to myself how actually simple they were. Three things needed for the very awsome hits that RooR and similar quality bongs produce.

First, and I think, most important. the diffuser.
Second is ice/and OR very cold water.
Third a goodly sized smoke chamber.

Well I though I could make all of those things from things that I found around the house. First off I grabbed the glass bowl out of my water bong. Then I got a slurpee straw. One of the fat ones, none of this normal sized straw stuff. Then I got an eraser out of a mechanical pencil. One 2 liter soda bottle. The fattest cheap pen I could find. Some Scotch tape.

First I eyeball how long the straw was in respect to the 2 liter bottle, this is going to be your diffuser. In case you are unfamiliar, a diffuser (hopfully I am spelling it correctly, I have only heard it spoken, diff-use-er) is like a stem for a normal glass bowl, but instead of being a cylandar it is closed off on the end and has many smaller holes on the side, so the smoke is broken up into smaller bubbles through the water instead of large smoke globs of smoke rising to the surfase that you usually get.

Cut it to length and find a small sewing needle or tack to poke holes on side of the straw, look closly at the picture, it didn't show up very well in the picture. The more and smaller the holes are the better your hit will be. BE CAREFUL NOT TO CRACK THE STRAW.

After you have 50 or so super tiny holes in the bottom end of your straw, put that eraser in the end so the smoke is forced through your tiny holes (you can be creative if the eraser does not work for you.

Next scotch tape the other end of the straw to the glass stem of your bowl. If you want to get really ghetto, you can make the bowl out of aluminum foil, but a bowl from one of your existing bongs is going to serve you much better. Whatever you do, make sure it is air tight.

Ok, almost done, now make two small slits in an X or T like fasion and put the tube portion of a fat cheap pen in the side. Use tape to make sure that it is air tight. Now either make a pitcher and completely fill it with ice and then fill that with cold tap water and then pour the super-cooled water in the 2-liter bottle until it is about 2/3 full; or just fill it that full of tap water and let it chill in the freezer for a while, just don't forget about it.

put the bowl in the top and make sure it is firmly seated on the lip of the top so the smoke is pulled through the diffuser. I was absolutly blown away at the results. The hit I took was just as huge and smooth as from my buddy's RooR icemaster. Seriously. And This is a 2-liter bottle and a straw basically.

I know it is not pretty and I have tons of cool glass. But this is one of the best hits that I have ever had and I wanted to share. I high-ly recommend for people to give the diffuser a try, it makes such a difference in the smoothness of the smoke.

um just search the gc shop for bongs. i too agree with analog. homemade bongs are fun to make, but eventually you get bored of them. if you want a cheap one i wouldnt suggest getting a ccg bong because they can be quite pricey. here, look at this one, its only like 45 bucks, i mean its nothing special, but hey, its pinched so you can put ice in it, mmm, ice. http://shop.grasscity.com/shop/grasscity/GB6.html

All you need to do for the defuser is take the straw to a flame and twist it. It will be air tight and you will have no reason to go and get an eraser.
