I like this newbie faq idea. Not that they read the current faq, but if we had a newbie faq to link them to (so we werent' always searching for the right thread, we could just always link to one). I was thinking a thread with several categories and the links going to the best thread or 2 or 3 very good threads on that category.

I'm pretty high so that sounds like it makes sense to me. If it does and sounds like something worthwhile, I'd be glad to take a crack at putting it together. So whoever else reads this - please speak up. I don't want to waste my time doing something like that and no one use it.

Actually, I've been thinking about asking some blades to help me with a FAQ and some tutorials. It would be nice if someone could maybe make one for me on how to roll a joint or blunt with decent pictures.

Hempress, this one is really good actually. The pictures aren't the clearest but you can see what he is doing in them. Also people have acutally found Feanor's paint very helpful. The long written description is good too. http://forum.grasscity.com/showthrea...ht=dollar+bill

Will those suffice for your joint rolling needs? If no I can probaby find a few other things that have been posted that are almost as good.

I understand people being dicks and making snide comments for no reason, some people are just like that. What really bothers me is to hear someone gave someone neg rep because they don't want their rents finding out they smoke. I like the tutorial and FAQ idea... We could have things like "How to pass a DT, the RIGHT way", "How to roll a J/Blunt", "Are you getting ripped off", shit like that, lol... It would clear up some stickies, and hopefully free up some of the recurrant threads.

Maybe it could be set up something like this:

We make a separate section in the forums just for questions like this... We fill up 1 page with tutorials like the ones above. But we close the threads after the tutorials are made, so that we can ensure that it's the correct information and whatnot. This way we can cover a broad spectrum, and still only have to link the people to the tutorial section, ya know?

For example:

Person A: How do you pass a DT?
Person B: Go to this page >>insert link here<<. Scroll down until you see the thread titled: "How to pass a DT"

Or

Person A: How do you roll a joint/bong?
Person B: Go to this page >>insert link here<<. Scroll down until you see the thread titled: "How to roll a J/Blunt"

See what I'm getting at?

The FAQ is a great idea. I especially like Cottons idea on how to lay it out. The bored would look a little cleaner without all the stickys and a little easier to find the new threads aswell.

I like the idea of the FAQs. It would keep me from having to constantly bring up he fact that there ARE other sections to this forum beside RMU, and that the Search button is NOT a myth.
