I broke my bong stem cleaning it a week back, I was sad. Anyway, it's just a clear 6" glass bong with a choke (the stem isn't meant to come out). My friend was going to a headshop so I asked him to pick me up a stem for the only straight clear glass 6" bong in the store. When he brought it to me I saw that it was the correct diameter, but when I said 6" bong he thought I meant a 6" stem, so that is what he got. The shitty store has no returns/exchanges, so I am stuck with it. It works, but it sticks out really far, I think the original stem was 4". I drew the flame into the bowl (without water/weed) just to see if it would burn my face, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. My question is (not that it really matters), does this look funny? [picture below]

you could try to shorten it if you are relaly careful. dont ask me how, im just saying it can be done lol

I'd just be concerned that the bowl is too close to your face.

I've lost many an eyebrow and eyelashes due to that.

If I were you I'd just go myself or make the dumb ass who fucked up your request - provided you have smoked him out/hooked him up in the past- drive you or get the right one sooner then later.

Take that one clean it out and use it as a joint or blunt holder. I messed up an got a tapered 9mm and a flowered one worked the other didn't so it became a vaporizer whip at one point then a j holder for the ones rolled by the machine all perfect. You can almost grade your bud by the level of tar it leaves in the stem..not to mention how dense/dark/light ect it looks.

If anything it's interesting to toke an watch the smoke spin an flow away and it fixes your problem.
