what about the parents?

i'm going to smoke whether my parents find out or not...but i'd rather they didn't. how do i go and get high without them finding out? sometimes, i'm so paranoid that i think they know about it even when they have no clue. is there anyway to not be so paranoid when i'm not high? i'm tired of this bs.

If you hide your supply extremely well, they won't find it and they'll never suspect. When I'm at home mine goes in the insulation near the ceiling.

theres no reason to stress. use some clear eyes, some axe if youre nervous. get something to eat and a good thirst quenching drink (green tea is my favorite!) and untill you get used to it give yourself some time before you go home. i dont know how open minded your parents are or how scary they are or whatever. but my mom is a sleuth when it comes to that and the best thing u can do is look them in the eye and have a nice conversation with them like a normal person while youre totally toasted. and enjoy ur high!!!!

above all remember this: its in your head. if you start to freak out on any level about anything remember that its in your head. if you start to think that ur leg feels funny and its twitching and u cant stop it just remember that its in ur head and ur high and stupid and crazy at the moment. take deep breaths, u think ur doing something stupid and youre really not. make sure your eyes are good and you have a clear head and you'll be fine! sometimes it takes time but its not hard. evantually ull smoke blunts up to your doorstep and walk in your house like anyother day, BECAUSE it is anyother day if you smoke everyday.

if you smoke long enough...you gain a shell of confidence. a laid back, relaxed "i don't care" type of mood. maybe other stoners can help me define this. it's not an artificial shell. it's real. it changes you. but...for the better. you can still get stressed, but you'll change your outlook on everything. it's not always good though, sometimes it makes me irresponsible and there's too much "i don't care." but i suppose i'm getting off topic. anyway, the best and only true way to get good at stealth smoking is with time. it doesn't happen overnight. you just learn all the tricks. driving with your windows down. blowing smoke out. if you hotbox, you gotta let the breeze hit you for awhile to kill the major odor. start wearing axe. a lot of it. all the time. so no one is suspicious when you really ARE baked and wearing too much axe. hit up your local grocery/drug store and buy a little vial of visine. it will do wonders sometimes. not always, but sometimes. you can also just show some respect for your parents and try not to be stoned around them...or only as little as possible. when you get home, go straight to your room. don't walk too fast, they will smell the smoke when your scent flashes past. just be cool, and relax. be confident. that's the key. and yeah...keeping your supply hidden is another thing. for the longest time i hid my stuff in a bag in a couch in the basement. a couch no one else sat on except me...most of the time. there were a few close calls. just put it somewhere no one will look, but not TOO well hidden because that's the first place they look. don't incorporate too much stoner lifestyle...like wearing bob marley tees and leaving pink floyd cds lying around. basically, keep your head up. focus on being normal. and be confident. in time you will understand...

and...another way people get caught is because they told the wrong people the wrong things. don't trust everybody with knowledge about your marijuana habits. i know my friends and who i can/can't tell weed stuff about. get that figured out too.

i understand and agree with that "stoner shelll of confidence" (should be read and shouted like a super hero name hehe) i wouldnt say its a "i dont care" attitude as much as it is it doesnt matter. the shell builds ur confidence to you wont get caught, la la la. honestly i think that after i built my tolerance up i would act completely sober if the situation required it, and i didnt have to think or make the decsion to act that way. it just comes naturally.

u know where i always hid my stash? a cigar box, on my desk. it had my bud, pipes and papers all up in it. and it reeked of bud when i opened it. i wasnt worried about it at all. BE A TRUE STONER AND DONT BE ASHAMED! u dont need to tell ur parents that ur a pothead, but u can get into a conversation about why u think it should be legal, and tell them of ur plans to go to jamaica for ur senior trip.

ok if your not that ballsy then just chillax and let it come naturally its easy. not even my stoner friends know im high (unless im blazed outta my mind) unless i tell them.

its easy to be cool, just takes time.

i disagree about walking straight to your room. if your parents are around the house. make it look natural, say you're home and chit chat for a minute, go get a drink of water, go to the bathroom then call it a night. except for emergencies like you're bleeding from the eyes kinda thing

i'm not ashamed of being a stoner, in fact, it's one of the few things in my life that i'm certain about myself that i can justify with plenty of good reasons regardless of laws. i know what i want in life and part of that involves marijuana...i love it. i'm not ashamed. my problem with my parents is that they're very very uptight republicans and they're going to get a surprise when i finally do talk to them about my drug use, but i have decided to talk to them. one way or another, it's going to happen. whoooo. i'm kinda scared about it.

& theyd always b like dont tell little johny about this & id say hell no its every parents right to not show there drug use to there children untill they believe the children mature enough to make these choices and not sway them that way which usualy is the covo u wanna have with ur parents plan it out like an interactive speech u may find there not as uptight as u think

Rock on dude...but remember...its not drug use, its just weed. If you actually study all the facts there is nothing wrong with it in anyway and the way that it works with dopamine (not sure if i spelled that right) it actually enhances thought. I mean i grows in the ground for goodness sake, but as far is hiding it (if you decide to go that route) I like to set up my music grab a notebook and a pen get some food and drink (as mentioned before) a hookah and a guitar. Then i will go light up, never before that though. Just something to think about. Good luck with the talk.

I really love hearing that! Thats a great attitude to have. Best advice I can give is to hide it.
Do you have a problem with keeping the little white lie?
Until you can talk to them about it, you may need to practice this..
Everyone and every parent is different..dont fear getting caught by them either, they may be dissappointed, but you damn well know better. as long as your doing OK and maybe you can communicate to them, hell, they may as well just know what its all about anyway..

I've been busted 3 times, never actully caught in the act, only ratted out by mysister. Just act normal, use clear eyes and dont reak and you should be fine, I've been almost tripping in front of my parents and they never notice, i used to smoke in the bathroom pretty mcuh every night and then take a shower, they never noticed anything. Like everyone said, its all in your head, When ever im in the car with my parents blasted out of my mind I just listen to my ipod and look out the window, they never say anything cause i always listen to my ipod sober or not.

Everyone is paranoid at first. I used to get worried when I'd go home because i thought someone would smell it. Then you realize you have nothing to worry about. Now I talk to my parents while I'm blazed and they don't notice a thing. The best thing to get rid of the smell is cigs then febreeze.
