How safe is it to talk about weed via email?

My friend is kinda pissed at me for mentioning weed in our email correspondences. We're meeting bc of weed, so it's kinda hard not to. Plus, I really enjoy talking about weed.

So, is it safe to talk about weed through email? He's convinced that it's not safe, but I say we're missing out on an opportunity to share fun stories, and just talk about weed in general. I really don't think the FBI is gonna come looking for us just cause I mentioned weed. No, we're not dealers, we're not even huge smokers. So how bad is it to talk about weed? What do you guys think?

Lol. Yeah that's what I think. I don't see what he's getting so pissed about. I mean, isn't it an invasion of privacy if they did that?

Anyway yeah, we don't talk about selling, or anything big like that. We do have to talk about meeting up with each other to smoke out, and he does get me stuff, so he does have to tell me how much money to bring. But anyway, I still don't think stuff like this is that bad.

I think the cops have bigger fish to fry. But who knows for sure right? To set my friend at ease (and I really don't wanna lose him as a friend, cause he's my only source!), anybody have any proof or know of something that I can tell him to show that it's safe?

Yeah, I have proof of it. It's called common sense. No government official can read your email without an invasion of privacy which is a hefty fine and possible loss of job for them. Get aim or something so he doesnt have to be as worried and tell him to stop being such a pussy.

Hehe, yeah I got some of that common sense stuff too. That's how I know (without having to get proof) that it's safe. I mean, the cops would have to bust a million ppl every day if they busted everybody who mentioned weed in their email.

I guess aim is a good idea. And yes, I wish I could tell him to stop being such a pussy (not to mention a jerk for getting angry at me), but he's my only source here, so I can't mess things up with him. So for now, I'm just gonna tell him that I'm sorry for talking about weed, and I'm just gonna stop talking about weed with him (which is gonna be hard, since we meet up to share weed).

what about this new patriot act? dosnt it that basically get rid of all your rights? now they can tap phone lines and im sure they could read your email but i doubt they will do anything about it unlless your like "yea man i got 100 plants in my basement o man so sweeet and i live at 25555 sunshine lane stop on by"

if your friend is using his work e-mail address then i can see why he might not want you to mention it. otherwise, as long as you're not talking about dealing or anything like that you can talk about it all you want....

As long as you didn't mention anything pertaining to higher scale dealing as in multiple pounds then you got nothing to worry about. The cops arent gonna waste their time trying to bust you for an ounce or two at most. Theyl go after the growers and first level dealers to cut the chain for everyone else.

if the government feels you are a terrorist or have anything to do with terrorism, they can read your emails without telling you and its 100% legal. alls they have to do is say they thought you were a terrorist, and im not sure if this is correct or not but ive heard if your involved with drugs they can easily get away with calling you a terrorist.
