I'm a smoker. I sometimes smoke alla day all week, sometimes I don't smoke for 12-24 hours.

I get completly completely smoked very rarely, I rather maintain the thc level in my blood above zero at all times.

my definition of high and stoned would be:

high: more in the head, can still do stuff and carry on a semi-normal conversation... get work done...

stoned: sit on your ass and do nothing... walk to the kitchen maybe.... maybe drool depending on type and or quality.... usually go completly numb

i personally prefer abit of both....

edit- some girl i new from 8th grade ( she moved away freshman year ) just hung herself and i found out about it and was thinkin how in the world could u do that....i mean, with herbs in my life, im always a happy camper
even though i havent seen this girl in like 3-4 years, me and my budz are gonna puff 1 in memory for her, sad stuff...may she R.I.P.

it all just depends on the slang you/your friends/and society around your place of residence use. i would agree with your terms, pothead being into having fun and stoner only doing it to get smashed. but it's different all over, in different areas.

Well stoners r usually older like 16-25 and usually spend all there money on weed and get the best shit they can find. Potheads r usually younger like 12-16 and smoke pot like on the weekends usually and sometimes on the weekdays. Well heres how i think it goes first your a first time toker then u go to a rookie then you get to be a pothead then you get to the stage of a stoner who can hit the bong like cheech n chong.

Well I used to toke everyday, thats when I was a true stoner. Smoked atleast 4 bliz a day, now I rarely smoke at all (because of drug tests), I might smoke one every 3 weeks but im taking a big risk. Although i've only had one drug test during the 2 months on probation im still skeptical and don't wanna take a chance and toke like the good ol days. May'be im a bit to paranoid I donno, right now I would consider myself a rookie since I just started smoking again after 2 months... But my stoner lungs should come back soon. Please tell me how long that will take, will it be like the whole long ass stage from rookie-cheech (takes like 2 years atleast) or does it only take about a month?

same way here, man. people seem to use pothead in more of a negative since, where as being described as the cool stoner neighbor or friend, i can live with. my neighbor laughs every time i answer the door cause it always smells like pot, half the time it's cloudy, and when i go up to his place, i'm usually holding a blunt in my hand. he doesn't mind pot smoking in his house, though. but all his friends told me he said i was a cool stoner. i'm high.

I definately like the word Stoner much more than Pothead...

Just look at how Pothead is constructed... Pot + Head. The only thing on your mind is pot and even saying Pot I feel is a stupid word for weed. I really dislike when people say pot as well, POT?! What the fuck is POT... Maybe if it was spelled different like Pought, or Paught... I don't even know why it's called Pot but Pot head just means the only thing you think about is getting high and whatever you can do get high.

A stoner on the other hand is someone submerged in the culture of marijuana. They don't just smoke weed in some sketch ass place just to get high, they smoke because it's social, they smoke because it's better than drinking, they smoke because they love to fly, learn and become a better person. Stoner is a person who get's stoned because s/he loves weed and everything about it, not because s/he only smokes to get high.
