smoking and usage

Compared to all of you proffesional tokers, I dont smoke a whole lot. I usually smoke about .5 grams 3 times a week at max. Well the last 2 times I smoked, I got sick. Last Friday, my neighbor and another friend came over and we rolled a blunt with about 2 grams or more in it. I know I'm a novice smoker, but the blunt wrap hit pretty fuckin hard. Is it possible that smoking caused me to get strep throat? I've been pretty sick now since about Saturday. Last night I was up with a fever at 103 deg F, horribly sore thoat, headache, and sinuses ready to explode.

Should I just not smoke for a while until I'm better, or should I use a bong since it makes the smoke a lot cooler and wouldnt irritate my throat so much?

Also, I was thinking about cooking with some bud to help make some of the symptoms of this bug seem not so bad. Would this be a good idea or no? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and fuck over the counter drugs and perscriptions. Most of them seem to not do shit except for like 800+Mg of Motrin (Ibuprofen).

Just take a break dude. Let your illness pass... plus by the time you get better and toke up, u'll get straight up BAKED!

No, man, it's not the weed's fault. Strep throat is caused by bacteria, they would've gotten in your body somehow anyway.

Think it can happen from mushrooms? I remember me and my friends did some shrooms then a few days later he had strep throat..

Whatever caused it .. stop smoking till a few days after you think its cleared .. just incase .. in the meantime stick to cooking / chewing

it would probably make sense that it got passed to you from somebody else when you smoked that blunt. see if one of your freinds that you smoked with recently has strep

yeah -- weed itself wont cause any illness but smoking with others will just like drinking out of someone elses cup

i'd say its that or you just have bad luck lol

my guess would be that the body's immune system is weakened while it is fighting off the poison, making the person more susceptible to getting sick shortly afterwards

but i don't know this for a fact

same thing happened to me, juss we were smokin out of a pipe. I was smokin with my brother and his friend, and his friend was sick, but I really didn't notice because I was blowed already, and when he was coughing i thought it was just because of the weed. But whats weird is I got all sick and had a fever and my throat was soar n shit but my brother was fine!?!?
