Keeping it fresh?
Hey all,
I'm a relatively new smoker, been smoking since the summer around once or twice a week (on weekends), or less. Now, I'm getting tired of throwing down $10-$20 a week for weed when I know I could get an ounce of good commercial grade stuff for about $130. That ounce would last me a long time and I would save around a hundred bucks in the long run, by my calculations (1 ounce= 28 dimebags = $280 dollars I would have spent had I bought it in dimes, but since I bought it as an ounce for $130, I save $150). I'm willing to spend the cash to buy an ounce so I save money in the long run. That isn't an issue.
Here's the issue- can I keep it fresh for weeks, or even months? I mean, I'm the kind of person that can resist smoking even if I have some- so I won't be blazing up every night my smoking patterns will stay the same. I was thinking that I could either break the ounce up into a bunch of little dimebags and seal in sandwich baggies so it would stay fresh, or I could keep it in a big ziploc bag and maybe once a week give it a light dousing with water. I'm pretty new to weed and stuff, and I've heard its not good for herb to be wet, but I need some advice here. How can I keep it fresh for a long time, like around 2-3 months or so? If it isn't possible, whats the longest it can stay fresh? Even if it's old, can I still get high (I think the answer is yes).
If anyone can help me out here, I'd really be appreciative.
