| cleaning soapbar- a handy dandy thread by mr switch
OK. I came accross this on Overgrow and decided to try it for myself. As everyone in the uk knows- the most available weed comes in the form of soap bar- hash but with added nasties. Well I, mr switch, am going to attempt to clean this soap shit up. I 'm doing this as I am posting with each step being posted as it is done (pretty much- pics 1-3 were done before I came on). Anyways on to the show. First I took my soap and broke it down into smaller pieces so that this will work faster.

So TO RE CAP. Took hash and broke up and placed into a cup. Added boiling water. Stirred well with a fork. I'm now about to pour the water away after waiting five minutes. This should leave a residue at the bottom of the cup. Then I'm going to repeat the process with the residue in the bottom of the cup. I.E. Add more water and start again. This will be done three times. The second time I'm leaving ten minutes for the mixture to settle after stirring and the third I'm giving it fifteen minutes.

Now we want to take that powder and make it back into hash. To this I am now adding a little more water to loosen the powder from the bottom and pouring the lot through a coffee filter. Any residue STILL left over will be washed out again with a little more water until I have a clean cup again. And the hash ready for drying:

What I am trying to do here is remove some of that crap (which should float on top of the water) and keep what is good. This should mean that I am taking in less crap when I use it (I'm using it to cook with so it's really not much of an issue as most of it will pass through the digestive system without much harm being done anyways but I was bored and had the hash so).
