upside-down bowl

i was sitting here and thinking, when your passing a bowl or not hitting it and it is still burning then your wasting good smoke
but what if there was a way to capture all of it
then i thought of this
the upside-down bowl


on the bottom is some sort of screw on bowl peice with a screen on the bottom this is where the weed goes
then you screw this onto the rest of the peice where there is another screen right above the weed so you wont get it sucked into the chamber
then there is a large chamber to collect smoke
and a mouthpeice and a carb

to use it you would hold a lighter to the bottom screen to light the weed on the bottom
this would then have the smoke float up into the chamber
once the chamber is milked you can inhale
this would be great because then all the smoke would be captured inside the chamber and then you can take a huge hit
without wasting any of the precious smoke


i dont know if this would actually work so tell me what you think and maybe i will make one someday to see if it doed

dont use a carb... plus... attach a lightbulb to the bottom instead of the screen and make a vaporizer ;X

all the ash and shit would fall out the bottom after it burned some. It would also get really hot with the flame going straight up into the part that you'll be holding. I really dont see what that design is supposed to fix, thats why you use a lighter to put out a burning bowl... but it'd be fun to use it as some novelty bowl...

when you use a screen in a bowl do you get ash suckthru?

and if you do it right you could probably get the weed to cherry so you dont have to hold the lighter there and it wont get hot
even if it does you can hold it by the chamber

The only problem i can think of is the smoke just being really hot, but ims ure theres some way to chill it or something. Otherwise i can see it working as long as the chamber is big enough, other wise smoke will start flowing out the bottom.

yeah i think that wood work great...its not perfect, but with a bigger chamber or a stem coming from the bowl to the chamber wood help......but i like it

i woodnt buy it instead of a spoon or somthing.......because they'll take similar sized hits but the spoon will be portable and you barely waste any smoke anyway with a bowl

you can get screw on tops for those with brass bowls.. it just screws on top to cover the bowl and there is a little hole at the top so you can still light it, and you can hold your finger on it as long as you havent been torching the bowl...

already got a genie cap for my metal bowl
the only problem with it, is it had a plastic chamber that melted so now i have a bowl peice, a elbow peice and a cap but no chamber or mouthpeice

and, why the hell would the smoke be any hotter because the bowls upside down? its the same damn thing, except the smoke it just geting sucked upward instead of straight back like a regular pipe. or am i missing something here?
