Quick Question...

Would this work? It is the same principle as hot knifing, but w/out the knives or the stove. Would the cigarette lighter in your car produce enough heat to get a decent hit? ie Droping a peice of bud on it while it's cherry...

I've heard that it's been done, but burns your weed way too fast... I personally have had about a million experiences where I burn myself with those little damn things so I don't even fuck with them

Sorry for this n00b question, but what is the point of hot knifing? Does it preserve the THC better? (I've heard a lighter kills 50% of the THC on contact, which is why vaporizers are so efficient) And how do you prepare a hot knife? just a normal ciggerette ligheter or do you need a butane torch?

Is that true? That a lighter kills 50% of the THC on contact? Never heard of that before.

Cool

i've heard that THC boils at 392° (which is why vaporizers heat at about 400°) but does anyone know what temperature it changes into summin else?
