I have been at this board for many months now and keep on seeing people who will call weed "dope". I've never heard anybody call weed "dope" here in NY ... only people who really don't smoke trees, and then usually they will still call it marijuana or something. But seriously, "dope" is heroin. I've had this discussion with some of the hardest thugs while smoking with them, I've talked to so many people about this. I don't know what it is, but for some reason I get angry when people call weed "dope" ... it just doesen't seem right at all. As I've been told by some higher up people before, only the pigs call weed dope. Dope is heroin, not marijuana. A "dope fiend" ain't somebody fiending for marijuana, so why is marijuana therefore still called dope? I mean, sure ... back in the day you could get away with calling marijuana dope, but you could also get away with calling yourself gay when you were happy about something and not being called a homosexual. Names change, it's time we move on, DOPE = HEROIN, WEED = MARIJUANA. It's just so simple.

No shit! I couldnt agree more.
When my dad really wants to push my buttons he will always bring up the fact that I smoke "Dope" and it always pisses me off.

Thats what ignorant, closed minded people call Marijuana in my area of the country. I just hate the way it sounds, this shit is far from dope.

You ring up your friend and say "any blow, any dope" whatever, some call it hash, gear,shit. Never something like weed because well simply it's not weed, it's hash.

Only people Ive heard say dope around here are cops and probation people. Dope is a negative term to me and only people I hear use it are negative people.

But i have -never- heard marijuana being called blow before. I thought it was pretty universal that blow is cocaine.

Like, instead of "i got some dank weed", you say "i got some dope weed" like a dope stereo system or something. I dunno who ever used dope as an adjective, but, im stoned.

i hate that too.. my teach' calls it "dope" and he was a freakin hippy.. that to me makes no sense.. it's obviously a coverup, a front.. he'd be like i hate tobacco and tobacco companies then some people see him light up a cig.. biotchical hypocrit.. it's so obviously a front.. he hates stoners for some odd reason..
