Sticky bud not good to roll?

Question:

I just got a bunch of bud, very nice, and very sticky. I'm going out tonight with a friend that refuses to smoke out of a bowl so I roll joints when she comes out. Usually I roll with at least moderatly dry bud. I rolled something the other night and it didn't smoke but I think b/c it was too thin and I didn't break it up enough. I shredded this and will roll a relative fattie, is that enough precaution to make sure it will smoke?

Yes, you can roll with stickier bud just as easy as drier bud. The highest I've ever been, I was fucked up for a full 9 hours. I thought we had only smoked 1 joint cause that's all I remember, but no, we had 3. My friend started swimming on my hardwood floor. We had smoked 3 joints of the stickiest bud I'd ever seen. Literally about halfway through the joints, the paper would get wet, literally soggy. I asked my friend, who's weed it was, "Is this wetness all resin?" and he goes, "Yep, all of it". So unless you have weed with like, liquid THC painted on there I think you'll be fine.

Sticky bud sucks for rolling joints and blunts. It gets very hard to hit. I would suggest breaking it up A LOT and then rolling it a little loose. Use 2 papers per joint too.

true, or even easier, u can use a coffee grinder. that will bust it up nice

yeah use a little hand grinder, and then use a rolling machine, that way you hardly get any sticking to your fingers......or you could freeze the weed, in an airtight dark container..... and then take it out nug by nug, grind it roll it, while still frozen, and then smoke it..........smokes great, and weed does defrost very fast, and being in an airtight jar, means it doesn't have any water in it........Peace out.........Sid

sticky bud is nice, but dont try to break it with your hands. most of the crystals will end up sticking to your fingers. i use a grinder with both sticky and dry bud. sticky bud holds its shape well which makes it good for rolling.

i find rolling with sticky bud almost impossible. how can u make sticky wet bud dry? leave it out?

i dont know about you guys, but i prefer to keep my good shit (sticky icky) to bowls. Rolling joints and blunts with nug is just so unconservative. If you smoke out of a bowl, it will last you alot longer. Smoking from rolling it makes it burn much faster and you dont get as much hits from as much weed as youve put in the joint as you would a bowl. I hardly smoke from joints, but when I do its alwyas schwag, unless its someone else bud who doesnt mind rolling with there good shit.

Ya, I hate breaking up sticky bud. One time I didnt have any scissors or anything and I had to break it up by hand. Man, by the time I was halfway done, the weed I was tryin to break up was like glued to my hand. So I told the blunt I was gonna roll up to fuck off and made a device out of a plastic bottle. Then I just broke apart the big pieces and smoked it. It was really good weed, I got quite stoned.

A lot of people will say that sticky weed isn't good to roll, but that's because in most cases when you only get like a gram of some sticky shit, it doesn't break up into a lot and people end up rolling the blunt/joint whatever too tight. Then the blunt gets hard to hit, the end gets all resinated - a very ugly sight.

You're best bet - if you're only working with a little bit of the good shit, roll the product loosely and you'll be all set. Also, invest in a grinder. This way, you aren't touching the weed a lot with your hands. When you break it up with your hands, your hands wil get sticky and it makes rolling the blunt more difficult. The grinder will also save you a hell of a lot of time, especially when working with the sticky shit that can be a bitch to break up.
