Hey man, I'm totally with you.
I smoked like 5 joints a day, everyday during the summer, for like 3 months. Then one day, i decided that I need to be responsible with my job, a business onthe side i'm starting up, and school. Too much stuff to be high and handle it. (For Me) When I get high, i cannot do stuff normally, talk on the phone and such. So I didnt get high. I missed it, sure.
After another 4 months of not smoking, I started up again, smoked on nights I didnt need to do anything. Did that for a month, and its getting in the way again. So I stop. I smoke when I want to, and dont when I dont need to. Simple.
This summer though, ima take it up again. If its more of a negative thing in your life, mote than it helps you out, then it doesnt need to be there. If it helps you out, or you enjoy it at little or no expense, Toke up Mate!
