We're not trying to make them illegal. Some jack ass has added provisions to a bill that will make it illegal for private sectors to advertise the pro's of marijuana.





"The Alliance is preparing to go to battle against the government. In December we warned you about a provision that will censor marijuana reform efforts. Rep. Ernest Istook, an Oklahoma Republican, snuck language into a federal spending bill that will effectively ban private advertising on buses, subways, or trains in support of marijuana law reform - including campaign ads in support of medical marijuana ballot measures. Worse still, the same bill also spends $145 million in taxpayer money on anti-marijuana government propaganda. This federal spending bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives late last year, and the U.S. Senate will most likely vote on it next week."

They want to ban marijuana reform messages? That sounds unconstitutional. Not only that, its sad to see we are STILL taking steps in the wrong direction.

It is blatantly uncontitutional. But how many blantantly unconstitutional things has Bush done in his term in office?

And no, one vote does not make a whole lot of difference. But as a supporter of marijuana reform, you have to just swallow your doubts and do it anyway, just hoping that others will follow. It sucks, but it's the ONLY way we can stop this wave of fascist legislation Bush and his cronies are so fond of dishing out.

Help! I want to sign up and help out, but I'm afraid that I'll get lots of spam and traditional snail-mail junk from both the Drug Alliance and it's mail-list swapping affiliates. What can I do?

Nah, I don't get any kind of spam from doing this and I do it all of the time with every issue that comes up. The only way you'll get anything from the DPA is if you check the box asking for their newsletter. Well, they'll send you confirmation saying that your fax was sent, but that's it.

yeah i would reccomend signing up, the only emails they ever send me are ones notifying me about stuff like this and thanking me for signing

And if you're that worried about unwanted emails, you could always just give them an alternate email address from the one you normally use. I mean, the email address in my profile is my backup -- I normally use my college email address.
