Wow. I just made a waterfall bong...easiest thing in the world

I know. I'm a total n00b, I never tried to build my own bong before, mostly because I don't feel like getting things like glue guns. If Im going to make a bong, I want to make it quickly and easily. Normal bongs require finding a way to seal the hole where the downstem goes in the bottle, but the waterfall doesn't require any kind of thinking to make (useful if you're blazed).

To those inquiring minds, here's how you make one:

1.Take any kind of plastic bottle, the bigger the better. But it can really be anything.
2.Using something sharp, poke a small hole in the side of the bottle very close to the bottom. Just make sure your finger covers it completely, for reasons I'll explain in a second.
3. Make a bowl out of something (don't use tinfoil if you can help it). Stuff a straw in the end. Or, if you have bongs lying around, use the bowl&downstem of one of your bongs. Fill the bowl with some of your favorite herbs ;-)
4. Hold your thumb over the hole and fill the bottle up. If you can't carry it to the bathroom, fill up a separate water bottle and fill the bong with the water from this other bottle.
5. Keep your thumb over the hole. Using your other hand, put the filled bowl in the neck of the bottle so the downstem points...down. Yeah.
6.Get a bucket, large tupperware container, or any other vessel that will be able to contain the volume of the water in the bong.
7.Light the bowl as you release your finger from the hole in the side of the bong, letting the water drain out into bucket/other container. Doing this will suck the smoke into the bottle.
8.When the water level gets below the hole in the side of the bottle, cover the hole with your finger again. If there's still bud lit in the bowl, put it out carefully with your finger or however you like to put out lit bowls. Remove the bowl from the bong and put it somewhere (if there's still bud left, try putting it in the neck of your other water bottle...the one you used to fill the bong back a couple steps ago.).
9.Put your mouth over the neck, release your finger from the hole, and breathe in.
10.Wait a couple seconds for the enormity of the hit to hit you. Blast off!

what's fun to do is figure out how to rig a downstem so you can have your waterfall filtered. You get big smooth hits like that.

dpends on many things: the size of the bottle, the size of the hole the water is draining from (practice until you can get the most smoke in the bottle without extra air), quality of bud, etc. A couple of waterfalls should get most people pretty high.

Well, a 20 oz bottle used for the bong will probably kill 1/2 bowl per hit, but I imagine a 2 liter bottle could get the whole bowl in there before the water got too low.

Damn, waterfalls are brilliant

Once before me and a friend were up at his house sinking waterfalls from a 2 liter bottle, we got so high it was great.

It's a different kind of effect too.

Waterfalls are bad ass. I once(when sorta new to smoking) cleared a gallon container full of concentrated smoke from one, and had a huge trippy panic attack. Fucking intense!
