favorite drug movies

I would just like to know everyones' favorite drug movie. Mine of course would have to be " Where the buffalo's roam" and "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas" Those have to be the best....anyways, i am out.

Hell yeah, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas is a damn good film. Play it safe and stay cool.....

Mine are Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, I love the part when he is like "The room was full of dinosaurs! Someone feed these damn animals!", Half Baked and Blow.

Blow's an awsome movie, so are all the usual half baked and so on that everyone else picks, but willy wonka or alice in wonderland are just fun movies to whatch while high, especially willy wonka on shrooms, now thats fucked up, I saw it when they showed some special anniversary one on the big screen at one of those art theaters downtown and it was hella fun.

By drug movies do you mean movies about drugs or movies to watch while on drugs?

If the subject matter should be drugs, all of Cheech and Chong's, Bongwater (quite a good flick with Luke Wilson and Alicia Witt), Class (Remember the scene where everyone's trying to smoke/flush all of their dope; even a live plant?)... Jeez... what else? Scarface... although the d.o.c. there seems to be cocaine.

On top of that, I'm surprised no one's mentioned Grass. Grass was perhaps the best film I've ever seen dealing with drugs. Any film that can show the persecution of marijuana in America with such wit and humor deserves every film award they could possibly receive.

Now, if it's a movie to watch while under the influence... there's where it gets interesting. Of course there are the mainstays, Yellow Submarine, Dune (David Lynch's, of course), Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. (Hell, let's go ahead and say that any Lynch flick could be enjoyed while under the influence of drugs.) Buster Keaton flicks are pretty fun. Let's see, what else? Hmm, Akira's dealings with drugs could put it in both categories I suppose... on that note, what about Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange? The lacing of milk (moloko) with drugs such as vellocet does show how things may be in the near-distant future. Designer drugs lacing the most mundane of drinks. (Yes, I realize Burgess wrote it in his story... not Kubrick, but we're talking film)

Has anyone seen Fantastic Planet (Original French title: La Planète Sauvage), a 1973 animated flick about a planet where an alien race keeps domesticated humans as pets and are trying to eradicate the wild remnants of the race? Personally, I think you should have some chemicals in your system just to watch it.

There are millions more, I'm sure...

Side-note: An animated flick from the 70's called The Point. I think that was a rather drug-induced cartoon. And let's not forget the grand poobah of them all, Puff the Magic Dragon. Peter, Paul and Mary had no idea, I'm sure, that their song would lead to an animated version of Jackie Paper joining Puff in Hanalee.

I wanted to kill myself after viewing the Moron Movies I and II. There's only so much humor found in watching a donkey crap.

I do agree about the Batman movie... nothing beats Bat-Shark Repellant.
