Vaporizors Cause Pulmonary Embolism?

So I was talking to my psychiatrist today, and I was told that I should not smoke while taking anti-depressants, because it depletes serotonin which is why I am taking them in the first place, this i questions a little bit. But he started telling me all these other reasons not to smoke, and he says pot is worst than cigarettes, which is total bullshit I know, then I say I have a homemade vaporizer. He says that it reduces it to smaller particles and causes it to get stuck in you lungs and cause a Pulmonary Embolism, but isn't it about as dangerous as breathing in water vapor? Or should I go back to smoking?

yeah, I have been searching the internet for any information on it, it looks like alcohol runs the risk, but nothing about pot. I don't really trust the guy anymore, since he seems out dated and misinformed, not to mention when I mentioned I smoked, he seemed to lose all respect for me, and rather than address me as a responsible human being he treats me like a child.
