well my friend held the weed for me cause the cops was goin search my house so
and it has ounce, well my friends mom found it and took it and never gave it back
and i told him, give me the fuckin weed back or money, and i fuckin want it now!!

I don't necessarily disagree with your premise, but this analogy is way off base. A taste in music, no matter how poor, is not illegal and cannot lead to possible legal ramifications.

I do agree that, if she flushed, it was a rather foolish and damaging decision. The OP should have been given the choice, if she felt so strongly about it, to move out or stop storing weed in her house. But at the same time you must respect private property rights. Still, none of this should have ever occurred as the OP must have done something stupid to clue his mother in on it.

Money has nothing to do with this when legality comes into play.
