No offense but i dont think anyone who is so afraid of their parents they are afraid to have weed in their house, is going to make your mom think they are some badass who would hurt her.

If she flushed it, hurt her. You don't have to physically hurt her, but do something that will really take a toll on her emotionally. Nobody fucks around with shit like that and gets away with it.

I'm astounded at some of the replies in this thread to be quite honest, here you have weed, a drug that associated heavily with peace, freedom and harmony (putting aside propaganda a moment) and a considerable portion of replies not only suggest violence, but violence against the guys own mother?

A lot of you need a reality check I'm afraid, without your mothers you wouldn't even be around to smoke the stuff.

Back on topic, as Reggin said, her house and her rules, however, I do sympathise with you and as such, if you're not willing to just write this off as a risk of smoking at home then there are a couple of options open.

Firstly, sit down and talk with her calmly, use everything GOOD you can think of, explain the facts about weed and such, but this shouldn't be the main bulk of your argument, I would suggest making the main bulk of it about you personally, how you are mature and responsible in your use, as evidenced by your grades.

Secondly, you could try and lie to her as has been suggested (I realy don't advise it though, it only sets you up for trouble further down the line). This lie could range from the simple, "it's a friends" right through to, "Oh my god, I got this stuff from some dangerous people, if you don't give it back then the mafia and the triads and various other crime groups will move into town and totally ruin your life". Notice how silly that second one sounds? That's a risk you run with inventing an extreme scenario.

Thirdly, you do as has been suggested also, and take something of equal value. I don't really think this is a great idea, but if talking to her doesn't work, then this could perhaps open her eyes to the fact that it's not just some weed, it's some weed you dropped $275 on.

Seriously though, don't take something she absolutely needs, just something she likes, taking car keys or wallets is a really underhanded thing to do, considering that your mother may need something like the car to work, it doesn't quite square up.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do, hopefully it works out for you.
