Anyone else hate being called a pothead?

I would hate being called a pothead. A pothead is someone who just smokes all day and isnt productive. But its all point of view. I was brought up work hard and at the end of the day you get a reward. But other people can work and get the reward.

But the ones who just blaze all day and dont contribute, wouldnt you consider them a pothead?

around here the same people that call someone a pot head take vicodin and shit like that, I hate how everything thinks pot is bad cause its illiegal. Or someone says there not dumb enough to try it. You know what I say to those people?

"Do you drink?"
"Yeah, why?"
"If I'm a pothead, I guess that makes you an alcoholic..."

Generally, that shuts them up. If they don't get it, and start fussing saying "well that's different blah blah" then I just walk away. Simple.

It's all about context, man. Personally, I prefer stoner because of all the stigma around being a "head" (crackhead, methhead, cokehead, etc.). I have a list of "alternative" names:

Cannabis Consumer
Mary-jane moonlighter

Too stoned to remember the rest

pothead has a very negative connotation in toay's slang. like dimbag said, you are put on the same level as cokeheads etc, when really you just smoke a lot of weed. i believe pothead should be used as a term for someone who is high 24/7 and will put it at the highest priority of things to do, no matter the circumstance
