how to roll a joint: by brian

hey ive been practicing for about 2 weeks now and finally know how to roll a joint without alot of frustration, yes alot of you are thinking so what? well for me and alot of my friends we never knew how so im thinking alot of other people dont know how to ether, yes smoking from a bong or even a pipe can be better but nothing beats the simplicity of smoking a joint here goes:

step one:

take a book or hard surface and a peice of white paper, i used 3 hole punch place the paper on top of the book and pull out your weed

step two:

take some sharp point scissors and cut the weed up, try to make it as small as possible, if cutting with full buds snip off the end of the stem which iirc isnt really good smoking and just cumbersom in the small rolled joint

step three:

once the weed is in small chunks on the paper pull out a zig-zag, make sure the glue is facing the top , place it between your index and midle finger, let it rest there and place your thumb gently on the far side of the zig-zag so it doesnt fall over and spill your weed

step four:

once your zig-zag is ready take the paper on the book you have with your cut up weed and pull up the sides to create a half circle with the weed in the middle

step five:

gently tap the end of the paper so the weed slowly makes its way into the center of the zig-zag, dont put alot a common mistake i made was putting way too much and having dificulty rolling the joint

step six:

pinch both ends of the zig-zag gently but firmly enough to make a half circle so the glue and dry side both meet up togather, roll towards yourself just a little bit with your fingers so the glue side is now slightly higher then the dry side, then slowly and carfully touch the glue with your tounge so the dry paper is dry while only making the glue wet

step seven:

with your thumbs and while still maintaining a hold on both sides of the joint so nothing is to spill curb in the dry side of the zig-zag and pull over the side with glue as far as you can, press down so you now have a cilinder, if some of the glue isnt touching the dry side and your worryed about it falling apart touch it with the tip of your tounge so to wet it

step eight:

now that you have your cilinder pinch on one end and place more weed in the other end, with a pencil or your scissors pack it in nice and tight, once you cant pack anymore weed and theres about 5 milimetres from the weed to the edge of the joint stop and tightly roll it up, lick the end and roll it tightly with your fingers, repeat with the otherside

step nine:

you now have a fairly decent join to smoke there are prolly people here who know to make better ones but i learned on my own through trial and error with this method comming out successful for me and hope for anyone out there it will atleast be of usefulness as a guideline to your joint rolling success's!

its like when i start to grow plants, ill make a complete budget guideline as to how to properly go about it although i couldnt do so as of now as i am still learning the process myself

Thumbs up

The only real advice that I could give you that's worked for me....

Practice, practice, practice, practice...

And then practice some more. Rolling a nice fat joint by hand is an acquired skill, everyone has a bit different way of doing it. Hang with it...it'll pay off.

ha in your directions u forgot the most inportant part: ROLLING the joint. When the weed is in there you have to put all the weed closer to one side of the paper and then put the edges together and roll the higher side under the lower side. Sometimes u have to do it more than once before it gets tight enough but that is how a joint is rolled This is the same for blunts. I assume you just started smoking or have never tried it but want to try it? Damn u really smoked salt?!

You can get a pouch of rolling tobacco and some papers at the gas station for under $1.50. That'll give you something other than salt to practice with.

exactly... what i used to do is roll one the best i could, then break the joint and reroll it for practice. today i can roll pretty decent ones and i don't roll too many. it will come.

as a joint fanatic, i gotta say the best thing to practice with is oregeno, and... PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE, if you dont have ANY supplies and you wanna practice get sume grated oregeno and cut a few squares of bible paper (that really thin smooth kind, dont cut anything out from the text, but from the first few pages, where its liek the publisher info and such) and practice rolling over and over and over
