Blunt Rolling; What is your preferred method?

First of all, I love blunts. I would rather smoke a nice blunt than a bowl any time of the day, any day of the week. Recently I was having a conversation with a few friends of mine about how we each roll our blunts.

Personally, I like to roll really fat cone blunts using two wraps. I like to have a long, smooth, long lasting blunt that has a consistent burning pattern, and cones do that for me. They also build up the flavor as you as you finish more and more of the blunt.

My friend, however, rolls his blunts in a straight manner that he calls 'the sushi method.'

Anyways, I would say that the cones are better when rolled properly, simply because you have less of a chance of weed sucking thru than with the straight method. Even when rolled tight there's still a decent chance that some bud will suck thru if you have a bigger mouthpiece. But with cones I've seen so many people roll the mouthpiece too small and make it tough to hit so that can be my one problem with it.

I guess according to your diagrams I roll "sushi" style. I never have a problem with my blunts running or sucking weed through. As long as the blunt wrap is fresh enough and you roll it right, you should get a fine blunt.

but yeh I roll mine the regular way...and smoke it the regular way.

thought this was going to be on technique.. i roll mine the regular way. i've never seen anyone around here roll in a cone.

i like cones but i usually just roll em straight up because its easier and looks more like a cigar so people dont hassle you.

Yeah, but HONESTLY, how many people walk around smoking cigars? Usually (if I want to "stealth smoke" a blunt), I'll roll up a joint sized blunt, and then stick on the filter from a Black & Mild. More people smoke those than cigars.

I know how lame this sounds, but when i want to smoke a quick joint at uni (generally in the carpark), I roll a joint the sushi method. Although I have never referred to it as the sushi method.
I normally roll it using one of those little handheld rolling machines, add some tobacco and VOILA! i have a sneaky cigarette looking joint.
the great thing about the little rolling machine is that it fills it out to make it look like a cigarette and packs it pretty well, I sometimes even add a cigarette filter for extra cigarette looking effect if i smoke while driving.

Yeah, if you're a good enough roller:

1.25 paper + Smoking blend (80% weed, 20% tobacco) + cig filter = Perfect "espionage" joint.

Cigarette filters are not good when smoking mairjuana, it filters a lot out.

Personally I've always rolled my blunts as straight cylinders, same with my joints. My joints look like Camel Wides and my blunts just look like regular blunts.

Well I usually roll joints/blunts straight across like a cigarette but I like cones just as much. My favorite though is like a hybrid, it isn't pure straight across but it doesn't have the total exagerration a cone would have, I find those to be the best.

What you can do is either cut the filter shorter, or you can pull the filter out of the filter paper and replace it with a crutch (a rolled piece of paper).

Sushi style. I can roll freehand but I tend to roll on a hard surface for a tigher/nicer blunt.
