smoking and usage

I have a dilemma on my hands. Why do some people think it's a gangster thing to smoke marijuana? I know its not part of the street/ hip-hop culture but rather part of human civilization for thousands of years. Why do people have to act like their the shit, smoking a plant (I know, marijuana is great, I love it i have nothing against it) Is it because its illegal, and it makes them feel like real gangsters for doing criminal activities?

When you actually take the time to meet people you'll see that most people (with the exception of young kids) don't seem to have those beliefs.

I know the majority of weed smokers aren't like that but I mean some of those who are into the hip-hop culture do.

when my buddies and i smoke, we smoke blunts, listen to biggie, dre, wu-tang, three 6, etc.. and we feel gangsta as fuckkkkkkkkkkk.. its fun sometimes.. everyone enjoys cannabis in their own ways so stfu and deal

All types of people smoke marijuana, sometimes it is just harder to recognize some. I bet there are a bunch business men walking around in suits sparking up joints right now.

Yeah this is true. Any REAL stoner has a hidden and deep respect for the plant and its uses, and doesnt smoke it for the "gangsta" factor.

I will admit smoking in its early stages in a stoners life may seem a little badass

There is no such thing as a "real gangster" these days. Sadly, even African Americans are turning fake(hybrid gangs, selling out w/ rap etc.). It makes me sad

But probly because in the 90's they only played gangsta rap on radio(guns money and weed) instead of the real shit. (wu tang, 2pac(well they did but not as much as snoop believe it or not)

because they are young and imature. im still young, but i have been smoking long enough to know that it dosent make whoever does it a gangsta'.

I'm in to hip-hop culture. Your looking from the outside in. There's an estimated 30 million marijuana smokers in the United States (probably more). People just like to get high. Marijuana is the drug of choice.

Im not refering to people who enjoy hip-hop and marijuana. Im refering to people who flagrantly advertise themselves as gangstas just because they consume an herb. They talk in inner city accents when they clearly dont speak like that, they wear huge marijuana related logos on their clothing.
