Vacuum sealing?

Hey blades, just have a quick question and I figured somebody here is bound to know. My friend works at a Sam's Club and he said they just got these containers made to keep food in, about the size of a tupperware container, that can vacuum seal. They have a little button thing you press on the lid that sucks all the air out and creates a vacuum. I was wondering, if you used one of these to store your bud in, would narcotics dogs be able to smell it? I'm not sure if the fact that it makes a nice vacuum seal would prevent the smell from permeating somehow. And it's a pretty thick container, bout 1/4 inch thick plastic, not like flimsy-ass Gladware or some shit.

Thanks!

Yeah except this vacuum container costs like 20 bucks which would be the same or less I would end up paying for a nice jar (which is the only kind I would want).

I am using just a jam/mason jar, it hides the smell and it is pretty durable. With the vacuum seal system I do not know if it would 100% hide the smell of some dank. I have never seen anyone use one but if it works it would be less bulky than a jar.

They've got these things called foodsavers that vacuum pack things. For some of the people with wives around, these would be things that are common in your household. (Or for the underage people, your mothers would have them. Not that anyone would violate the terms of usage agreement and join this forum while underage)

I was pondering your idea of using a vacuum sealer last night while blazing and I came to conclusion that it would be a bad idea to use it for your bud. If you have dank bud the moisture in it would cause it to mold. If you had fluffy bud then it would become dense bud. Also you would have to reseal it every time you open it up. Just thought I would let you know

I'm almost positive you cannot smell any bud with a vacuum sealer, but then again I am not a dog.

I use vac bags all the time for keeping buds fresh. BUT, I guarantee that dogs can smell through it.

The plastic is SLIGHTLY permeable because if I put a vacbag in a sealed jar for a long time I can smell the buds a bit. If I can smell it, dogs can smell it.

mason jar + the pump-n-seal. keeps bud fresh, doesn't crush the bud, and i sure as shit can't smell anything out of it. of course, i'm not a dog either and their sense of smell is about 1000x's what our's is. but i would put a small wager saying that the dogs would probably pass it up.
