Oral surgery, can't smoke or eat

I'm getting oral surgery in a few months. I'm having my wisdom teeth removed, bone graft and a dental implant all at the same time. The sheet they gave me says don't smoke day before day of or a week after. I'm not going to be able to eat brownies or firecrackers either, so what suggestions do you have about how to get high? I could make some green dragon, but I'd rather not have to get drunk too. Any ideas?

Vape? What are you allowed to eat? Try looking at the recipe for the weed ramen noodles.

green dragon won't be good unless you have a good amount of stems and the time to let it absorb..

I had same problem but I just stopped smoking for a couple days after surgery then continued again. The main problem you face is dry socket which is very painful and the only way to fix it is to re open the wound and clean out all the bacteria. This happens when any particles of food and or smoke gets stuck inside your scar tissue. I smoked and ate about 2 days after surgery and never had that problem. I just made it a habit to rinse my mouth with mouthwash after every meal and every smoke sesh. Good luck man, you will probably be getting a nice script of some goodies

That doesn't make sense. Why would they give a prescription 2 months before surgery? And why would they give you only 2 valium and not a full prescription of it. Hmmm..?

You are supposed to take it an hour before you go in. It calms you down pre-surgery. Then, you get the full prescription once you are done.

OP: I smoked 2 days later, 4 days later, and then some more over the next couple days as well. The pain meds will probably hold you over just fine. If not, take more in the beginning, and smoke later. Or, just smoke with a pipe or joint (not bong, you pull too hard) with the gauze in, then change it and wash your mouth. It all depends on how you feel. Also, take a good t-break before the surgery. Then, you wont have to smoke nearly as much.

If you any questions, pm me or something.

Good luck

Yeah, I was kind of confused when they handed it to me. the 2 valium are for the night before and morning of, and the Vicodin is for pain.

I don't want to sound like a douche, but it is only a week. A week that you're gonna be on vicodin anyhow.

bring a water to a boil
use .7 grams of weed or more...
1.3 grams of butter

boil in pot of water for 20 minutes u can even cut the butter out of the mix if u don't want the risk of diluting the pot, the water will turn green when u are done boiling and the pot will be all brown, mix in ramen till cooked, eat all ramen, drink all water and enjoy it will take 30-40 minutes to get high but will last 7-8 hrs

i just had my wisdom teeth removed last week, the sheet said no smoking for 24 hours. I think it more has to do with the sucking that can cause a dry socket, because it can pull the stitches and disrupt the blood clot. So I waited the 24 hours and then did a gravity bong so i didn't have to draw the smoke myself, just inhale. . . Got my stitches out today, the dentist said it healed great!

I vote Don't do it.

Getting wisdom teeth removed is one thing, but a bone graft and implant too?

Dry socket is when a clot gets loosened by suction or abrasion. That isn't bad in itself, except that when you get teeth pulled, bone and nerve is exposed. If you think about it, most surgeries never even get to the bone. Exposed bone can become infected very easily. It's also very sensitive, and even smells bad. Blood clots are very important in that they allow tissue to fill in the wound and stave off infection. Gum tissue takes weeks to heal completely; bone takes months.

It may be okay to smoke after getting teeth pulled if you're careful. But throw in an implant and a bone graft, and you're only multiplying the risk of infection and of something going wrong. This website gives some good info - http://www.dentalgentlecare.com/dry_socket.htm - Google can yield even more.

I say just enjoy your vicodin and keep off the smoke. Or definitely try some Green Dragon if you can procure some in time.

Just take a T-break, its not worth getting dry sockets or other problems, on the plus side, you will probably get decent pain killers, percocet maybe.
