not to bash or anything man, it's a good idea and stuff, but by making actual hash with your kief, you can get a better smoking experience out of it. Since hash is homogeneous, it burns better. It's also easier to handle when breaking pieces off for bowls. It doesn't take too much more work if you want it either. Maybe if you just added some heat while pressing? It needs to be thoroughly pressed so that all the trichomes and resin glands are broken open so they can be pressed into a sweet brick.

No offense, no worries. To respond, yes I am aware of other methods, however the goal of this tutorial is the easiest/quickest way to get kief in a better form for smoking. Unless you "upgrade" to pressing with an iron, you don't need any heat for this method, the pressure alone will be enough (small amounts). As far as the smoking I have never had a problem with the burning, in fact the kief tablets I pressed burned pretty much perfectly evenly throughout, I never needed to light it after the first inhale.

If you put a lighter quickly around the bottom of the pen while it is being pressed it may make it compact a little better, just an idea

u stole my method lol...but i use a bic stic and a long grey k'nex piece.i did a thread about it a long time ago, but kudos for taking time to make a pictorial
