my homemade is a propel bottle, they are long and skinny; perfect to make a bong out of. gut a magic marker, and get a socket piece that just slides in and out of the marker top. burn a whole in the side of the bottle, where ever you want it to be...and whala you got yourself a homemade.

is the tube running down from the bowl called a downstem? cuz if so thats what I am talking about..thats what my whole question is....like isn't that what you are supposed to do have the downstem submerged in the water.

Yeah Man, I know, that was for a demonstration I plan on using a water hose connector with a water filter that also fits inside a water hose...Works wonders, thanks for the warning anyway dude

Ok so about three months ago i made a triple perc'ed glass bong, and it only took like an hour to make. So what i used was:
-a plastic cocktail bottle
-3 IBC cream soda bottles (any glass bottles will work)
-a trumpet mouthpiece
-electrical tape
and 3 sunny d bottles (the little ones)

It was kind of a complicated process. But if you want to make one, you should use this method to cut the glass bottles:

Except when you cut them, do it around the bottom of the bottle.

So then you have three glass bottles that are all missing the bottoms of them.

Then you cut the top off of the sunny d bottles (so that they can fit over the narrow part of the glass bottle) and put a bunch of holes in the plastic around the new rim of the plastic bottle with a hole puncher. These will be your percolators. Then put one of the sunny d bottles over the mouth of of one of the bottles (then seal it), and then put another bottle over it (then seal it) then put another sunny d bottle over the new mouth (then seal it) and then put your last bottle over it (then seal it) and this is your mouth piece. As for the cocktail bottle, you put a sunny d bottle over it (then seal it) and put your bottle contraption over the top of it, and you have a triple percolated bong. You still need to make a bowl for it, im sure that all of you can figure something out. I used a trumpet mouthpiece and a bic pen tube. And i didnt give mine a slide, i made it with a carb hole. Sorry if i didnt make much sense but im not sure if I will be able to post pictures. It's a pretty nice bong, ive only smoked out of a real percolated bong once and mine rips just as hard, so it's pretty good.
