Fungus in the Bong
i hadnt gotten the chance to smoke my little bong "purple haze" in a while, seeing as how ive been at my boyfriends house toking all my weed these past couple of months. and i just thought to check on haze and she had little white fungus disks in her. it was pretty grimy, i cleaned her out with hot water and listerine as much as i could, but i dont know if thats good enough, i cant boil her because she's acrylic. and i dont want to use harsh chemicals [you do have to inhale afterall] or dish soap [i dont even wana try cleaning dish soap off of resin and acrylic]. any suggestions?

Alcohol? Works well for glass. I've never tried it on anything acrylic but I don't see why It wouldnt work.

Don't put alcohol in an acrylic bong, it'll start to dissolve the plastic slowly. Get soap, water, and a wire brush.

Yea,
for the safety of your bong and others around you, do NOT put alcohol in your acrylic, i have an acrylic and i put just a tiny bit of alcohol in and shook it around for a few seconds and when i poured it out it left these horrible streaks all over my bong, on the inside and the outside. Just use hotwater and maybe a lil bit of gentle soap, nothing harsh |

My bowl Morpha grew some mold when I didn't wash it well. I left resin in there etc and it molded. Just use isopropyl alcohol. and then scrub the living hell out of it the best you can. that should do it. I was iffy about using chemicals on my bowl too, but as long as you wash the bong good, it'll be fine.

Ack yeah did you leave anything inside of it? One of my friends left powerade in his bong and had to clean it out like 5 times to get all the fungus growing in that thing when he left it on the shelf for like a week haha.
