Alright, well I am either buying a quarter or a half sometime soon. Does anyone have pictures of either or both? I just want to see them before I buy it.

Get that shit on a scale, no reason not too.

As far as eyeing it? it all depends on how fluffy or shaky it is. Typically an ounce in a regular plastic baggy is 4 fingers wide or so, height wise.

If you don't know what a quarter or a half looks like, get it weighed out before you pick it up.

If your dealer won't throw it on a scale in front of you, I'd walk away. It's probably not a dude you want to be associating with anyway.

You can also pickup something as simple as a hand scale:

They're not very useful for weighing out small bags, but they're perfect for checking weight! They're usually referred to as "postal scales" and most gas stations will have them. You just have to pay attention. They're under $5.

yeh got to a gas station or tabacco store and ask for a hand,mail, postal scale. (there all the same thing.. whatever u do just dont say somethin dumb like "weed scale".)

Luckily i only by my weed by the Half oz....

heres some weed i had about 3 weeks ago... nothin special tho.. and im on a slow ass window 2000 computer right now (brother has my laptop) so it would take forever to upload a better pic.... but its better then nothin.

The beasters in the bag weigh 12 grams. "One and a half quarters" is 10.5 grams. So what is in the bag is about 1.5 grams more than what you are buying.

Now, to follow this up. Everything type of herb you buy is going to have different densities. Thus, every time you buy herb, it may weight exactly the same, but look completely different to you eyes. This is why it is vital as an herb smoker to obtain a quality, reliable digital scale. Go to ebay or your local headshop.

If you are ripped off for $10 in herb for every 10.5 grams you buy, it only takes being ripped off two or three times before you could have bought your own scale, and saved all that money (essentially making the scale pay for itself).

You should always protect yourself against people who inevitably will try to rip you off.

I second purchasing the scale, it will save you money in the long run.

I can eye bags out quite well in my opinion, but it's always good to check with a scale. Being a gram off over a couple of pickups adds up.

I've found the bud density of different strains to be inconsistent.
