i don't know if i'd say "harsh", but i know what you mean. kief hits differently than bud does, it burns a lot easier compared to just bud, and the taste is much more "condensed" in my opinion. bottom line is, keif and weed are two different things, and they're going to smoke differently.
but, fuck yeah keif! |

I don't think it's any harsher, but I was using a bubbler so maybe that had something to do with it.

THC expands in your lungs, thats why good bud tends to make you cough more, and why kief makes you cough more than that even. The expansion in the lungs causes this.

everytime i hold a kief hit in - it feels like the smoke is eating away at my lungs - never happens with bud

kief is smaller particles. smaller particles burn faster and hotter. inhaling smoke can hurt because of the temperature of the smoke. hope that cleared things up. also, im pretty sure that potency would not make a rip harsher, considering that a rip from a vaporizer is the smoothest thing in the world.
