If I want to make brownies using using canola oil, would it still work as well as using another vegetable oil or butter? I believe it is considered healthier than other cooking oils because it has less saturated fat, but does this lower level of saturated fat make it a worse solvent for the THC?

I'm not an organic chemist but I don't see why it wouldn't work, it's still a non-polar solvent. Saturation shouldn't be a factor. I assume the main reason people generally use butter is because it tastes better than vegetable oils. The brownies might end up being a bit greasy though.

yeh, but most brownie recipes call for oil rather than butter, plus canna oil seems easier to make since it doesn't burn as easily as butter
